OK, it's kinda a begging thread, but also a chance for you to make £5 for basically just sending me an email.
My Xbox Live Gold membership ran out yesterday, and as I'm hopefully back off to work in mid-February, I only need a one month code.
I know these are included in GTA:IV for the Xbox 360, so if someone has an unused card, and they are happy to scratch the panel off and send me the number, then I'll Paypal over £5. I'll also gladly Paypal over 10% (50p!) to Fruit-Emu. It's still £1.50 cheaper than me going through Microsoft, and you can get yourself a fiver (or thereabouts after fees).
No way am I paying Microsoft £6.99 for ONE month when I am fully aware I pay £25>£30 for TWELVE months. Unless I really have to

Again?
Yup, again I didn't want to get a 3 month code and only use 2 months of it. Looking back I should probably have just bought a 3 month code
If I can grab a 1 month code now that should hopefully do up until I'm (hopefully) due back at work

Sorry Ben no hijack intended just when you mention the xbox..my lad tells me he wants to change his online username ? the wife set it up for him and just put in the first thing that came to mind..but apparently its gay and he wants it changed.
The only way you can do this is to "buy microsoft points" ? or summat and it costs like 80 MS points which works out about a fiver.
Was wondering if there was anyway round this or is it bite the bullet and go buy points.

I belive you can do this if you sign into Xbox.com. I'll have a look and get a link
EDIT: Your son is right
To change your gamertag, follow these steps:
1. Go to the My Xbox section of the Dashboard.
2. Highlight your gamercard, and then press the A button.
3. Select Edit Profile.
4. Select Gamertag.
5. On the Change Gamertag screen, review the information regarding changing your gamertag, and then select Continue.
6. On the Enter Gamertag screen, make the changes that you want.
7. Confirm the purchase of 800 Microsoft Points
What a rip

Many thanks to 'joephus' for sending us a working 1 month code without wanting any money in return - obviously if there is any way I can return the favour, let me know.
As I felt rather guilty about getting the 1 month for free, I made a donation online of £5.00 to Macmillan Cancer Support, so at least someone other than Microsoft can benefit in some way.

Yep 1st post as well..what a nice chap.
We'll probably find out he's a disgruntled Microsft employee and has thousands of codes he's created for an eternity of free online access.
Guess we'll have to wait for his second post to see...
