Well, it's not like me to post a thread about winning, and I don't condone this sort of thing at all, however, why not since others are lol.

Basically, I play Omaha, preferably Hi Lo. I hardly ever play for cash as people get greedy.

As I'm off at the moment, I thought I'd put a few pennies into Ladrokes poker.

Unfortunately, there is never anyone playing Omaha during the day, so I thought I'd have a go at Texas Holdem, never liked the game, too much based on chance rather than skill... so I thought. After turning my US$16 dollars into $168, I thought... why not try a tournament (since I kept getting popups telling me that a new $5 tournament was starting in 5 minutes...)

Anyway... long story short, I didn't win, and even if I came first I wouldn't have won more that the $168 I'd already won, but... TBH for my first ever tournament, I don't think I done that bad.

Anyone else play tournaments online? If you're planning on trying it, to get where I did took me over 2 1/2 hours, so don't think it's a quick way to make money.

I like Ladbrokes for poker. Have tried quite a few other sites but never got on with them as much.

Tourneys are good fun and you can win a nice lump of money for a very small outlay, but it can take HOURS. Play them occasionally but prefer the cash games for a quick blast

My fav site is PKR but had some good wins on bugsys club which is a nice small site

but i dont play very high stakes just now and again

Seems quite easy to make a few thousand $$ a year if your a good enough player

I still have the odd dabble. Not won any massive money since the £700 at Xmas but have has some top 50 (out of 900 odd) finishes which worked out to about 6x stake back.
