laptop problem help

when i start to play a machine in mfme 9.4 the fan is on continuous
and after abount 10 mins the laptop just shutsdown.
this doesnt happen in bfmulator or jpemu
any advice please ?

sounds like its over heating is it a toshiba

How old is your laptop and what speed settings have you got the emu at? If you have a slow laptop/pc then your fan will run at top speed as your processor is working at maximum speed too. If your CPU is a decent one and you have a decent gfx card then it should not be doing this.

deffiantly something over heating
or you have got mfme from a dodgy site which has been fiddled with lol
possible a processor problem what OS are you running ( like windows xp or vista )

im a total begginer with this stuff so im not sure if this help
its an advent windows xp

What to do is load up MFME 9.4 then press ctrl-alt-del and look at your running processes and see how much CPU usage MFME.exe is using.

it should be running okay tbh
are u keeping the laptop on a flat surface so air can easily get to all the vents
