Interesting little machine this, cheers. Got up to £8 just now, cocked up on the £12 board. Oh well :)

I never lose at the real life noughts and crosses, but I've ended up having back to back draws with someone lasting about 1/2 hour before. Unfortunately the computer will always screw you over when it wants to with the 'whoever is in the middle on a draw game loses' rule :(

Would be, apart from (as I mentioned above) the machine's rule that 'whoever has played the middle square in a draw game loses'. Therefore, on a game where the COMPUTER goes first, it'll play that card to kill you off. Winning the games you start on is much easier.

The emulation runs FAR too quickly on my PC, faster than the original machine ever did. Slow it down to a point that is 'fair', without being silly :p

Having said that, you could slow it down to 5 minutes per round, and you'd still lose because of the rule I mentioned a few posts above. The timer is just there to make you feel that you lost because of your error, and to frustrate you into staking more money.

Thanks for this one, was in my local burger star and use to just play for £2 or £3 and collect that. It soon mounts up.

Feel free to slow it down (anyone who doesn't know, go into configuration from the top menu and drop the speed to 8,000 or lower if you want)

As for Bens (I've never lost at O's and X's) I agree mate, there is a theory behind the game where if you go in specific spots when he goes in others, you can guarentee a draw from his start and a win/draw from yours, however, that bloody rule of middle square loses is annoying.
