I can give you flash file for use on your pc via email or something but it's way too big to host online, my bandwidth would be used up within a few hours!

Hi

I host the repro on my own pc from my own connection and i have not ever used excessive band width, so it must be one huge file if its going to use all your bandwidth.

TBH mate i know very little about bandwidth, servers and all that malarky, i've just purchased a basic web hosting package which allows me 25GB of bandwidth per month, of that i'm currently using 22-23GB, i'm just wary of my site going down or having to pay charges for going over my allowance so i put them playable online which uses a fraction of what the download would.

Wow 13 viewing this ATM lol, I'm guessing you're not PotsOfGold then DnM, I mentioned before about the 'free' part of the site, maybe you should change the homepage to say... If you've come here from a DVD seller on Ebay, I'm NOT related in any way and they should be shot lol :)

No it doesn't. For the flash to play on the user's PC through a browser it still has to download the entire file. You're probably using more bandwidth this way because if a user visits the page again and their browser hasn't cached the flash file then it will download it again.

If you want lots of bandwidth you should have come to me MK10 Web Hosting. Basic package has 40Gb for £1.99 (or half that if you use 'fruit-emu' coupon code) per month or 80Gb a month for not much more.

That's your internet connection, not web hosting - a bit different.

Refresh on the homepage of my site ;) - just to prove i'm not an ebay seller (actually i am, but not of emu dvds), oh and yes to confirm i am not PotsOfGold, i would have never started this thread off intentionally, i only noticed it cause i'm a regular on here, even if i don't post that often.... I'm sure Duplo will be able to confirm the IP addresses aren't linked with me and the OP.

He is one of the bosses (and a very fair one :) ) but he can't change the links because it's part of the coding of the site template.

Hmmm, you seem to have removed that message on the homepage stating that you aren't the guy selling the dvds

wonder why you did that then

eminemster2000, Even though i don't need to explain myself to you i will let you know exactly why that page is there...

As explained before when i first started my site is was for mates and myself to download and share from only, but when i started getting more traffic i saw it as an opportunity to practise my web design and also to get a mildly successful site.

At the time i had even worse bandwidth than i do now, so offered compilations, i simply copied the dvd x100, i offered them on my site for 99p with free delivery, i made all of about 4p from each one that sold.

When the traffic started to slow down and all the regulars had purchased one i had 40 or so left over so i stuck them on ebay with a 99p 'buy it now' and 30p postage, that just about covered my ebay fees, paypal fees and postage costs.

That was around a year ago, i haven't sold any since and sold none before then, it wasn't to make money as explained above, the only reason i didnt chuck away the remaining 40 was because it was a way to get a few more people onto my site by providing links with the dvds i sent out.

It took me 3 weeks to shift the 40 discs, for some reason people still preffered to pay £3+ from the regular sellers.

That /dvd page has no use now, i'm pretty sure the people who i sent the discs to in early 2008 will have mastered them by now.

I've been running a successful online business for over 6 months now, do you really think that i'd risk that by selling copied discs on ebay? I'm sure my accountant would have advised me against it if i did!

I take it you were one of the guys who bought one at 99p last year? Ther would be no other way of you knowing about that /dvd page, so you should also be able to back me up!

I didn't lie, you accused me of selling Emu dvds on ebay which i rightfully denied, apart from the near freebies mentioned in my last post i have nothing to do with them, infact the compilations i had would be well out of date now anyway! Check the files image in the instructions on my site, the 'new machines' are dated 2007! (Oh and it's bought no brought)

& who says your not lying now?

Me & my ebay account!

and no, i brought mine beofre christmas for 2.75 + p&p

You have definately not bought that from me, as explained i own a genuine UK registered business, i pay all my taxes and everything i do is above board, do you seriously think i'd sell dodgy dvds on ebay and give the figures to my accountant, i'd be hung, drawn and quartered!!

its sad what your doing

using other peoples work & selling it on for a profit, yet i dont see any of it comming to the site -.-

Did you read my post above? I assume you just chose not to believe me? I do not and have never made a profit from emulators, whether it be from the 100 discs or from my site.

For some reason you seem to have some kind of problem with me, this thread is the 2nd where you have personally attacked me! If i have done something to offend you just let me know instead of throwing abuse & slanderous comments around a public forum.

stating facts is slander?

lmao

& i cba to argue

but i dont get it

if your soo inocent then just

1. remove that page of your site
2. complain to ebay about him linking to you
3. tell ebay about him selling your dvds

(ebay take this kind of stuff seriously as i have seen)

p.s i aint got a problem with you,

its just you seem like you are that guy as you are doing very little to combat him
