No-one got any leads on these at all? Would be a shame to trash an almost working machine but not much point having it around if it doesn't work. Can't seem to find these anywhere on the net.

Is Wipeout EPOCH tech? Just wondering why, if the roms are about, no-one has emulated this wonderful machine?

Thanks for that. I've tried them and they appear to be correct, in at least that they checksum against the ones in my machine.

Bit of a downer really as I was hoping that this was the issue.

The problem I'm having is with the speakers connected I get very loud 'static' noises on both speakers.

I've changed the CPU, checked all the programme/sound eproms but am kinda lost from there on.

If anyone has any suggestions then I'm all ears! :-)

Thanks
Si

Sounds like it's the PSU.

Assuming the machine is for home use, it's perfectly normal to have static coming through the speakers - you don't tend to notice it when machines are sited by a business because there are other noises in the background. This normal noise tends to depend on how much load the PSU is under, so if say the lights are flashing off / on, then the noise would normally follow suit.

If it's very loud or grating though, I'd be inclined to say the PSU is on it's way out.
