If, as you say that this site has helped people who have been addicts for many years, then the opposit can also be stated, what may help some can in itself lead to creating future addicts, that is the circle of life... when one stops there are two more to replace them, sadly life is like that whether you like it or not...

As for Duplu I can understand exactly why he quit, this site was purely a hobby in order to keep the memories of 'our' youth alive, with the use of emulation of old fruit machines etc, some of which have now been lost forever... Some years ago Duplu set up his own hosting service, which requires alot of money in order to run and keep running, not only is Fruit-Emu on this server, so is DX'cellent and a few others, so in order for Duplu keep all in check he needs money and if he can get it from various sources such as UJ then so be it, who am I, you or anyone else to judge or tell him Duplu how to recover the costs, we don't and that it's.

Yes Duplu, did state that he knew very little about UJ..., but he also stated that he knew enough to make him happy to allow UJ's banner, so therefore it suggest to me that he indeed did do some investigating.

If you say that he is Spamming this thread (and boy it was one hell of a good spam Peter, really long this time...) then that is your opinion Geddy.... I will state this, I have read the very last post by Peter in its entiratey, and not once have I felt being sucked into a life of gambling in any way again, Peter's post confirmed to me that they are serious about what they have set out to do, they are clearly aware that gambling is addiction, and so am I, they have a wish to provide a service which current online gamblers can use that is better than the 'Free or Real play' crap that passes off to be fruit machines...

Outback Gaming... in not a lie as you put it.... Geddy, if you have any understanding about business, setting up off or running off, then you will understand the point that Peter made in an earlier thread, Outback Gaming provides them with supplies and in which case they are 'FREE' to use that companies logo, as is any other business once you have their permission.

In regards to making money from their venture, they are entitled to as is anyone else who wishes to do the same....

Fine that is your opinion but I have been part of FME since it's inception and generally FME is AGAINST gambling.

Again that is your opinion and that is fine, also I do not need a history lesson thank you. I've witnessed it all first hand. Again the money from the banner is okay (not in my opinion but get his reasons) however the 'plugging' of his site in threads I believe crosses the line.

I am not saying you have felt sucked in, however I am not just concerned about you, I am concerned about the membership as a whole. How many signed up to be beta testers? How many might have thought 'Ooo that is good I can't wait to try it for real money.' Can you remember the old Superman anti-smoking adverts? 'One puff and I have them.' Well it all sort of reminds me of that.

His recent post IMO was just blagging. A history lesson of his company which I am sorry is totally irrelevant and does not answer the basic points this discussion is about. End of story he is a business man out to make a profit and I doubt very much if he minds he takes money from addicts or helps create new ones, after all everyone's money is the same colour.

I do not need to know anything about business to spot a lie. He said in the post I quoted they were not involved and he did not want to get them involved and then the machines he uses are from Outback gaming. So he is lying end of story because by using Outback gaming's machines or as a supplier as you and him put it is INVOLVING THEM!!!

in the nicest possible way - i dont give a shit about geddy, impersonator, or anybody else involved in the argument. I just want to see the UJ site open so i can see for myself what al lthe hype is about. `hype` is the best thign for any site, particularly one that many will visiting, see its no different from any other pay-per-play site, and bugger off.

i wish all the luck to UJ, if you dont wish to spend money, there are plently of DEMO mode sites out there.

Geddy, your point has been made clear, you have your right to state your thoughts as is everyone else, and out a respect from an ex-addict myself I will end it here and now.. but I will say this, I have an open mind and have taken on board all that Peter has stated throughout this thread (whether its all spamming or not), and also your comments....

All I say is this, the interest is out there for UJ whether is has come about from this thread or others like it, either way Gambling in anyway shape or form is here and here to stay....

I will go back briefly to an earlier point I made, and that is if it you feel so strongly about the issue then setup your own website purely for the purpose of ex-addicts and impressionable kids, without any add banners of any type there you will be able to ensure that our future generation do not fall into the evils of gambling...

It has been an interested debate over the past few days of which I personally feel, has just got way out of hand from the orignal point of the post by Kriss....

But, and a big BUT...only time will tell as to what UJ is all about...I hope then there will be no "I told you so's" posts either way....when the situation arises I will say now that any posts on those lines will be deleted as we have enough ribbing pre knowing anything.

As has been said numerious times this is an FME site....and yes there is a banner for real life gambling, we are fully aware though that gambling isn't the issue...its the fact that UJ is so unknown--and of course the strange ways of promoting itself prior to (the now proven non-existant) countdown?

A sales ploy?...A genuine mistake?...dare I say no UJ at all?....who knows???

I've seen some "sheep factor" sales tactics used in my life before (I come from a sales background), but this is hardcore.

Also another thing to ponder..... can the site REALLY be trusted with CREDIT CARD DETAILS, or is this some elaborate way to hype the site up to skim card details?

Just one final post from me in answer as to maybe why Mecca, DADsFME or Fruit Forums where never contacted (this is no way any criticism of the 3 sites mentioned) but, as clearly pointed out by Peter in most of his posts and that is this...

Peter (UJ) felt that this was the best site (Fruit-Emu) and that the layout creators here were the best builders (take some pride guys n gals, as Peter paid you a great compliment, by stating this, but sadly it was thrown back at him), therefore where would the best place to go be in order to get some advice and input from but Fruit Emu, advice in how to create the best (pub style fruit machines and how they should play and feel), but sadly this has turned out not to be the case and UJ have born the brunt of a lot critical posts by individuals over the past few weeks, when all they were really looking for was plain and simple advice from whom they though were the best around and nothing more....

Can any website be trusted with card details? You hear stories of big names, cocking up with peoples confidental data.

Even some shops have rouge staff skimmin cards, and some cash machines too.
