Just wondered, has anyone used the hi-lo gamble on a club machine to go all the way to the top? I always bottle it myself when I get to around the £20 mark and it starts giving really bad numbers (6-10). Just wondered if i had more bottle if it ever goes all the way, as it were.

I climbed it all the way once on a Club Blackjack and once on one of the older bellfruits (can't remember the name). Both were £150 JPs at the time. The Blackjack one was a bit jammy as I had £50 on a King so couldn't lose for the next step, which was the cashpot. The only problem was that the cashpot was only £48! Decided to go for it anyway and got a 2 after the King. Therefore couldn't lose for the JP.
On the bellfruit machine I had the cashpot for £47 on a 7 and decided to go lower. In dropped a 2 for £150, piece of luck that one.

Some great old Bellfruit machines used to go hi-lo to jackpot. It usually gave a run of 1,2,3,10,11,12 and no dodgy numbers inbetween.Among these are-
Chinatown(Bellfruit)
Club Pharaoh's Gold(Bellfruit)
Club Typhoon(Bellfruit)
There are obvious blocks at around £50 but the machine is happy to reach the £50 nearly every board if forcing for jp.

Problem is, that even with a 2, when half up the board, I bottle itIt usually gave a run of 1,2,3,10,11,12 and no dodgy numbers inbetween.

Suppose the older machines gave indications when they were going to pay, unlike the shite these days.2's and 11's are not safe numbers these days.A lot of the new machines are not forceable so best to set a limit of how much you are prepared to lose.I am happy making £20,it pays for my night out(usually)Problem is, that even with a 2, when half up the board, I bottle it
The ones I play are old Cops and Robbers board machines. Can make a quick profit but the losses are not great as they are on 5p play.

I've never done it in the wild, I wouldn't dare!
But I've done it a few times on Crown Jewels £200(emulated version of course!)

Heard that james, But never seen it myself. If I had more cash, probably enough to cover the JP anyways, I would go for it, but for now - I collect at the 3 - 10 range on high values.
