Hey there,

This is a mark5 booting. As soon as you turn the machine on it pretty much instantly shows this as attached image.. it does not have any delay between each line. (just all there in one hit...) then about 8 seconds it does a slight flicker then 5 more seconds it jumps to the game screen.

Cheers

Which explains exactly why I can't get anything up on the screen yet. I really wanted to know if it was rendered line by line or all at once. I traced through the code and I could not see any writes to video memory via MEMC.

Shape roms loaded in the wrong order. We now have perfect colours.

Any luck in getting the game working Palindrome? I'm trying to see if my pal from Vanuatu can do some rom dumps of some MKV games there - he owns a little mini casino there...They have several games he tells me they are about to chuck out (as the platform is being updated) being - cash crop, chicken, stop the clock, bumble bugs and unicorn dreaming

Do they have their own version of the games, or are they identical to the Australian ones?

No they're all identical. The only difference is that instead of the $1 buys 100 credits, it sais 1v=100 (v being vatu). From what i have heard from my friend, the games all run on the same platform (MKV) regardless of where from - the differences are like differences in sets in Mame (Shinobi set 1, set 2, set 3).

I'm chasing it up tonight to see what the story is - he has told me that they unfortunately don't have any $1 denomination games there at all (superbucks, black panther etc are all out!)

Hey Agua,

Let's not get too carried away at the moment and talk about game dumps. This thread will end up on google as number one etc and it might comprimise everything.

.. it's only very very early days for emulation..

Cheers

I have lots of stuff on, like work, study and other activities. Bare in mind that it takes time to figure these things out.. I can't provide updates on a daily basis.

:notworthy:

Ok, I can hardly wait for this one boys, your doing an excellent job, love the early screen shots, and can't wait to be added to your list.

If anyone is looking for some great Slot's that you can't find in the Clubs and Pubs, then it is hard to go past the Phamtom EFX developers...

Since the tightening of tracking the ISP addresses of Australian On-line Casino Players, it has become almost impossiable to play Slot's at an on-line casino.

With the new game being emulated "EF" I would like to help out with a way to map the 14 - 16 buttons to a USB Controller that could be mounted in a Modified way into a desk top Mame Cabenet, for use with a high end 17" Laptop, which I am approx. 70% done with the design.

Could the Mame program used with the 4 allready available and the new EF be possible??

And I will then share my design with you guys as a PDF, so you can make your own, was looking at modding a (360 Controller for PC)

What do you all think?
:D

I have in fact been thinking of converting a Nintendo 64 controller to do just that, all it needs is wiring up to the cabinet's fourteen buttons to work, although the lights won't work of course. Firstly, congratulations on not being a tw@ like the above person and asking where to download games, and also for making some decent use out of that hideous garbage that is the Xbox 360 controller!

The four Windows programs use a basic (e.g identical to holding keys in Notepad rather than in games) keyboard input rather than gamepad, so you would need a separate program like joy2key to get it to work. MAME will not need such a program, although you could actually map MAME using keys in the same manner. I do not use a keyboard for gaming. Could you maybe make a new thread for this so it doesn't clutter up this emulation WIP one? I'm sure the fruit-emu people here would be interested too.

the only way to change the options is to reset the credits to zero by pressing cash out
