Sorry that's a typo above. Its 3 panthers, not 4.

Each line costs you 10cents = 1 credit, so thats 50cents if you play 5 lines.

You cannot change the amount of credits per line. Its fixed.

The button panel lights up to tell you how many lines you're currently playing during the spin, thats all. They are supposed to light up together with the line tags. Mine are all lit if I play 5 lines.

Also, whats the chances of other MK2.5 games appearing, like "Clockwise" etc

These will all run on Mark 2.5 machine. We are not sure what eforest is though.

Oh OK. What I meant was that when I play 5 credits, only line tags 1 to 4 will light up. Line tag 5 is missing. If I play 4 credits. Line tag 5 is there, but grayed out as it should be. Will upload a screen shot tomorrow if I get a chance.

Hi Rod,
Copy U71.BIN from the KGBIRD set to the TOPGEAR set (backup existing file first) and it should be ok.
You will get an error about wrong checksums, but you should still be able to play the game.

Hi, Im new here, only come across this place cause I am searching for the stuff I lost in a raid crash. After reading how there is work in progress with the emu of other aristocrat games other then the famous 4 that were leaked. I see the struggle to get it to a workable point.

I am keen to keep reading updates, but no where do I see mention of the memory clear reset needed to be done when you swap roms or when the ram chip is cleared. Maybe it's something the devs are doing or working on. (I think it was door open, door jam switch closed, toggle a switch, turn on push a button, memory resets) been too long to remember now.

I Downloaded UI64 v140, I will see what I can get from it.

Poop, no roms, My eprom burner card needs ISA port. Hope I got a old PC still working with one. Forgot my roms got lost in the raid crash, all those mods I done too, might be lucky to have a backup on cd, but I doubt it.

I don't think you understand how MAME works. MAME provides nvram space for each game if available.

Currently there are a number of Mk5/6 Aristocrat machines for sale on Trade me. In the past few months I have seen the following machines for sale for between $200 and $2000. Many of these however are in the New Zealand format (Max bet $2.50 and lower pays. eg man on Where's the Gold is $4, not $10).

The in house apps are not emulators, those were re-written and compiled to run on a PC running Windows. The Mark 6 is an SH4 based machine with a PowerVR chipset.

Emulation in Computer Science terms is when you reproduce the hardware characteristics of an electronic circuit using software.

1. The game roms that you have downloaded must be left zipped and placed in MameUI32roms

2. Start Mame, under FILE select “Audit all Games”

3. Let Mame scan your roms. When it has finished select Available in the left column. All working roms will appear in the right column with a GREEN checkbox, non working roms are RED.

4. Double click any of the working GREEN roms and the emu will start. When the rom loads a black window appears and you type “OK”. The rom will load and take you to the audit screen. It says METER SET 1 at the top. You will see the Audit Key and Jackpot Key bottom left. They must be highlighted by using “J” and “K”. Then hold down “ZXC” together and you should see on the right side of the audit screen RF/AMT and it should have a value of 200. Then press “J” and “K” to exit the audit screen.

5. Press “5″ to add coins.

6. BET 1 COIN – “W” BET 2 COINS-”E” BET 3 COINS-”R” BET 5 COINS-”T” BET 10 COINS-”Y”

I usually use “Y” max coins
7. Bet 1 line-”S” Bet 3 lines “D” Bet 5 lines-”F” Bet 7 lines-”G” Bet 9 lines-”H”

I usually use “H” max lines

so, 5 to add coins then Y for max coins then H max lines and the game then spins….

If you lose or win you can play on by hitting “H” again. To gamble after a win hit “U” then “H” for black and “S” for red. “J” to keep the win. “Q” will cancel out your credits won, collect..

If any of the games HANG or wont start correctly close the rom and try to restart the rom again.

Where can I find this version, because on my version does not have Geisha, instead having Orchard-Magic as the first game. Geisha is almost the same as Queen of the Nile except with Asian style symbols.

They haven't got it to work on PC yet, so it is unlikely it will work on your iPhone yet.

Yes that is correct, the RTC ( real time clock ) is causing random lockup on start-up and in audit mode too.

If anybody is handy with C and is able to compile their own build, here is a work around for the problem.

Change the following line in aristmk4.c

TO

static READ8_HANDLER(mkiv_pia_ina)

return 0;
}


Changing the above code will make the machine behave like no RTC is installed, in fact all the Aussie boards I've seen do not have an RTC soldered on the main board ( perhaps to cut manufacturing costs ). Your clock settings in audit will now show a bunch of zeros 0s and some obscure gfx which was normal for machines back in the day with the same hardware configuration.

I would be genuinely surprised if MAME ran Pac-Man at 60% on an iPhone. For the record, a 1.2GHz Celeron can't even hit a decent speed with the MKIV games, requiring it to jump to frameskip 6 for 100% speed.
