Seen it suggested somewhere that there could be restrictions put in place.I don't download much these days and usually only one layout a day.Surely thats enough for anyone!
Downloaded a 2 year old release (club circus) yesterday and were more than happy playing £800 through it lol(still no jp)without needing another fix.
Have to admit though, at the beginning of my membership I used to leech like crazy in all the excitement:bigeyes20:
A very good idea to restrict downloads to say 5 a day.

Whats all the panic about the site will still be here tomorrow and the layouts are'nt gonna disapear over night.

They are, have you not seen the news over the last few month all they go on about is the "LAYOUT CRUNCH.'

People are hanging onto their layouts and hoarding them under the stairs, they are pulling layouts from sites in case the site goes under and thus lose their layouts.

This has caused a great upturn in 'mass leeching and layout begging' from new members of the scene to gather as much as possible before it all runs out. These 'numpties' who are often lacking the basic searching and English skills just demand and demand. This obviously has an adverse effect on the already depleted recourses of the scene. These numpties do not care about their 'Layout Footprint' and are just motivated by the great evil known as DOND, yes that is correct the evil beareded scene killer.

The MFME of England have lowered interest in layouts to try and get people to release more to stimulate the market. However reports of the major players only in it for bonuses has outraged the scene and caused major unrest in this time of uncertainty.

Already this quarter we have seen great job loses in the rom burning, flyer gathering sectors and FME specialists say this is only the beginning.

We can only hope that maybe some new software from the MFME of England can kick start this scene again and bring it out of depression.

ive gota admit i used to download quite a bit too without any contribution but now i try to have a bit input and im also still learning to dx layouts..if i had a ""cough cough"good image to work from i think i could be great at it lol anything will do.heh heh...

Erm if i was a able to do layouts or knew more about emulations i would donate, as i dont im contributing by being here at this site.. no people no site! noone being rude except from your comment to me.. now thats rude!!!

How many layouts is 'all of them?' Since I know all of them will not fit on one DVD.

Since the scene started I have burned for free over 300 layout sets. Quite a few at a cost to me because I have not even wanted blanks from the kind members who contribute here. I wonder how much bandwidth I have saved the sites.

Also how much does a blank DVD cost? Couple that with 57p (tops) postage and another 50p for a jiffy bag I would say you are trying to make at least £5 profit per set....
