A few years back I use to help out in an arcade which is owned by novamatic or nova not sure. There was a woman who went on a machine that had just been put in there. From start she was the first one to play it and 5 days later and £8,400 + still no JP, she sold her car to get more cash. She ended up getting the jp on the 5th day and walked away with £780. Two day later some random guy walked in put £20 in and got 3 jackpots + other smaller wins!! No one had played it since she left it. Just goes to show how much they can rip without a jp and then pay out big over a short time. I have had a jp on elvis on 3 records then very next spin 3 records again and another jp that was at £2 a spin back in the day and was from about a 70 quid stake. I stay well away now as i have been burnt to many times. Seeing that woman put so much in should of been more than enough to put me or anyone else off.

Yep..remember seeing it my local arcade as well..some woman playing a PTA and she must raped it for about £90 easily..the pound coins were flooding into the tray.

So anyways..she takes her winnings and goes over to RR pound after pound..nothing apart from wee crappy £2 wins here and there..next thing shes saying to the lassie..can ye reserve that machine for me till i go to the bank comes back in with £100 in £20's 10-15 mins later thats gone as well..another trip to the bank...another £100 thats gone as well in 10 mins..so in about half an hour that was a good £300 odd and she was still on it when i left with about £8 in her bank.

Gawd knows what she must have put through it that day..no wonder i dont go near them bags of shite.
Mmmmmm...Sandy ive 'ad her ye know. :)

It says "THIS MACHINE IS RANDOM" on the screen?

What the real world meaning of random compared to the manu's idea of random are normaly two totaly different things.

They do not call em bandits for nothing.

The other day i went to one of the local betting shops to get a self ban i stood and watched this guy playing the reelking with gamble double or nothing on one of them machines. He had about £180 in the bank and was spinning away. From when i started watching he went £98 without even a 50p win WTF!!! £98 and not one single win. So on spin 99 or £99 he got 3 reelkings that went for £32 he collected it. Then back to dead spins for another £45 before he got his first 50p win. So £144 or 144 spins to win £32.50 I then got the self ban and though thank fook. I know that they can take, but to go £98+ without even a 50p win is crazy time. God all the horror stories are coming back now :lightning:

so why wouldn't they be random still? I can assure you the reels do spin at random (unless they are illegally rigging it)

There are more jackpot symbols on reels 4 and 5 but less on reels 1,2 and 3. So it can afford to bring in the 4/5 reel jackpots knowing your unlikely to complete the win.

thats how all RANDOM machines are balanced. The reels are fixed positions - just the symbols are spread out so badly that everyone just gets screwed.

they aren't so bad on casino slots/online slots but I must admit the B3 ones DO take the piss. I think the majority of the RTP is saved for the bonus games and the player just gets zero activity on the reels. Really shit but must be working for em

read some right horror stories going through the thread! :( luckily only played them once or twice (no more than £20).

i lost £750 at one of the local bookies in nov, on the advise of the manager i got myself excluded and went round all the bookies and arcades in my area.

i found that the bookies were easy to get myself excluded from but with the arcades it was almost like pleading with them.

in the end i just decided to sod them all, all arcades and the makers of the fruit machines want is the money. They don't try to make the machines fun any more they just try to make them take as much money as possible.
With the way the B3's pay the money back into your credit and not seperate into bank it is so easy to go through your money so fast

These B3'S are just classed as more fun but when someone can have the chance of winning £500 which with todays credit crunch is alot of money the simple joy of the spin has gone.

They do runs of where the jackpot symbols keep coming in on reels 3, 4, 5 and when i say runs i mean about 30 spins of them keep coming in, it will either pay out £ off them in the end or they will just start to dissapear and the reels willl go back to normal spins again, it's all a temptation thing. 4 dings too.

Just think about a golden game and how many times on your last credit, you've had a sllooooooooww spin to give 3 nudges and the l.e.s chance.

second posting on here today, but felt this was more important, does anyone else think that the B3s should be banned or ristricted to casinos? After seeing a mate of mine spending £4000 plus on Slotto gambler,a new hooror story from Astra, with no return apart from a paltry 200 quid which got quickly eaten back,me being me complained to the manager, who tartly advised me,that they were `random`! and had no control over it,,hmmmm ,yeah quite, ive won £500 on Elvis with £20.00 on 3 discs ,,a unique thing in itself,,but then lost £1000 on it the other day,no return,,not that i play them much, thank fk,,but makes u wonder how many are going to be bankrupt, lose their houses etc before these things are removed if ever, these arnt amusements, but hard core gambling,,far cry from the days of Line -up and Nudge double up deluxe!

why would you win £500 and put a grand back in the same machine next day?

you need a reality check aswell as councelling.

She sold her car to get more cash? That makes me sick to my stomach :bigeyes29:

If you start to sell your valued possessions in order to gamble on a fruit machine you have a serious issue, and need serious help. Imagine how that woman felt once her spree came to an end.

If that were me, I think it would take me weeks to get over THAT feeling that only comes when you lose far more money than you can afford. I have no idea what it feels like to lose possessions through gambling - must be even worse than losing money.

In fairness, that wasn't what he said. To me it sounded like there was quite some time between the sessions.

Seen a similar story to Rh only the other week.Went into my local Quicksilver for my 2 for 2 and saw a young couple(chavs lol) playing a RR Pots of Gold. The gold pot was on £500 and they were putting money through like no tomorrow. One thing about the couple that stood out was the amount of gold they were both wearing.
I soon lost my money and left but 2 hrs later went back to see what was going on.The same couple still sat there, minus their gold, coming to the end of their credits.Looks of horror on their faces after pawning their gold in to chase the £500.They left quietly but gutted.
A week later and it was still on the £500 gold pot.:bigeyes25:

The only thing worse than B3's are the people that put a silly amount into it then write an essay on how crap they are. Wake the fook up and play a dond lmao

Sorry if this is a bit dumb, but what are B3s? Are they the machines that have £500 jackpots? Perhaps it's good that I don't know as it shows I've never played them!!!

When the option came out to play at 50p a spin on normal machines, i.e. DOND, etc, I foolishly thought that it would mean that you'd get on the board more often. Sadly that isn't the case.

Christ, I've seen those Elvis machines around, but would never go near them. I thought I had a big problem when I used to play a lot and lost £50 in a day, but hearing about people losing over £1000 is crazy.

Yeah, they are the 500's : reel king, rainbow riches etc.

You think people losing over £1000 is crazy, read through these posts and you will see there is alot more to be lost :/

Aaa well you can always try £1 a spin £70 jackpot when it comes out, how many days left now ? 10 or so.
