a) The parents are away, and so I don't mind walking around the house at stupid o'clock, and
WHY DIDN'T I GET THESE GAMES EARLIER?! Pretty sure that playing these on the lappy would have saved me some cash in the old casino!
Grab the torrent here, and work out the dodgy keyboard shortcuts :
/ << found above the Numeric keypad seems to go to the game menu.
1-9 << on the numeric keypad seem to select a game from the game select screen, or when playing a game, adjust the winlines played.
NOTE : If that doesn't work, try pressing NUM LOCK on your keyboard... if that doesn't work, make sure you are using the right keys!
Games are numbers from the bottom left to top right
Seeing as how there are 22 games in the package, there must be another game screen somewhere...
ENTER << on the game menu switches between selectable games, or when playing a game, spins the reels
+ << found above the numeric keypad, seems to up the winlines to 50 Euros each.
That's pretty much all I've worked out so far, but it's 4am and I've been at the beers... but it should be enough to get people started.
Dave, if you haven't already got this, to fire up Beetle Mania its :
1) / from the first game to get back to the game menu, then
2) ENTER to change the games so Beetle Mania isn't crossed out, then
3) 4 from the numeric keypad to start.
Seriously, this would have saved me some cash in the casino. I'd love to say a fortune but actually I rarely gambled in the casino, and IIRC my total losses in there over about a 9 month period were about £400.
If only we could get some more B3s running I'd be in f**king heaven
TORRENT AVAILABLE FROM MININOVA :
Novomatic Gaminator : Games > Windows - Mininova
You need to run the GAMEUNP.EXE - seems to me it sometimes crashes the first time it's run on a new PC, if it does lock up (say goes to a black screen for more than 10 seconds and the computer doesn't respond), then try to enter and exit sleep mode, or power off and back on. It should load the second time, and goes straight to the Dolphin Pearl game. Use the keyboard shortcuts I've given above to get up and running
The fact it's called GAMEUNP.EXE (GAME.EXE doesn't run due to protection) suggests to me someone has *ahem* bypassed the protection on it. It certainly appears to be the actual casino software, and that would explain the weird keymapping.
Odd point : on my XP PC this runs fullscreen, on my Vista lappy it runs in the centre of the screen, about 1/2 of the total screen size. Sharper, but obviously a large black border.
Obviously if this is not allowed here, remove it
