HI i just bought one of these machines and the alarm keeps going off - alarm number is 54-28 just wondered if you could help me please!!! :D

... pretty sure it means your machine isn't getting a 24V feed from the PSU.

Had you actually seen the machine running before buying it?

No it plays when the doors but when we shut it the alarm goes off also the coin slot isnt working either only cost me £16 so didnt think it would work perfectly is there a manual i can download? Is there a way to fix it?

Lol i dont have a clue bout these machines so cheers for your help

Have you tried letting it time out? (a suggestion not knowing the alarm code)

Yeah, the 24V supply from the PSU powers the coin mech, so that would explain it.

When you bought the machine, was it sold as being 'freeplay only', or having 'coin mechanism disconnected'?

I honestly think it sounds more like the PSU is faulty than the mech being disconnected... don't think you'd get the error if the mech were just disconnected. Without actually being there it's very hard to say but it sounds to me like you'll be needing a new PSU.

Is a psu expensive? Does it stand for power switching unit?

Right, it makes more sense now. Still, without physically seeing the machine, I'm not really in a position to say if it's definitely the PSU.

If it was the PSU, you would (I imagine) be looking about the £25 mark, they are pretty heavy so you might be able to get a better deal locally if you could collect. I don't have any spares here at the moment, so can't supply on personally.

K lovely thank you - is there anyway we can switch the alarm off and just use the coin thing its only in our dining room we wont be needing the alarm!

The 24V light isnt lit up... were thinking a fuse is gone is this possible?

We stopped the alarm going off now the fuse was gone so we put a new fuse it now the alarm doesnt go off!

Now its saying JP invalid key... More help needed lol!!!

That the prize and stake key what colour is it or does it have 6 or 8 switches?

Its a bank of 8 switches with a red test switch underneath it

switch the machine off There should be two keys side by side 1 prize and stake key and 1 percentage key are they both there?
