I think SP had one, or was it CJW, anyway, one of them had the machine, and they'd not dropped it either, or it was nigh on impossible to drop it.
Ach, who knows then lol, nothing would surprise me as regards FMs not 'playing fair', whether emulated or real... I suppose I like to think things were 'less unfair' in bygone times, but I'm probably just wearing the old rose tint Raybans. Stupid old bastard.
I daresay there were different chip revisions and these may have behaved differently; can't rule out a complete bootleg/hacked job either. I *did* get a £60 JP off a 5p play Crackpot though back in '88, very nice it was too. (Two triples rolled in, hold the pair, other two came straight in. Also saw three oranges/60p being gambled all the way to £100 on a 10p variant too; I thought that bloke had nerves of steel meh).
