its a pretty shit machine tbh. Simple £50 block on the super trail, and thats about it really.

Yeah, I gave mine away as it was sooooo boring. You can actually get £75 off the trail (as it'll let you gamble the £50 once) but that's about it. I never got above £105 off the super board bit (annoyingly auto entered even with the Hotels lit on the main board - which makes the main board better).
Only ever got the JP by nudges / rolling in.
I'd avoid it!

... This is one of those machines that, upon first casual inspection at least, appears to be pretty good. But as soon as you start playing it to any extent at all, the blatent, absolutely immovable blocks become all too apparent and the boards (either normal or super) all too tedious.
Maygay always did churn out absolutely appalling clubbers, unless we're talking really Jurassic era stuff like 'The Bonus Club' circa 1984 (unemulated machine/Proconn tech AKAIK). This is no exception, in my opinion (sorry Harvey ).
In fact, the blocks on this thing were so bad, I believe this very machine kicked off the whole Fairplay 'unfair gamble' debacle, since they remained resolutely in place even if the game had been pumped and was obscenely below%. (In fact if memory serves, that thread was started by Harvey back in the day, based on his absolute incredulity at his own real machine lol).
If you want a good clubber, stick with Bellfruits by and large, albeit with a few honourable exceptions from the likes of JPM System 5/early IMPACT techs, and precious few late MPU4/early MPU5 Barcrests.

IMHO most modern Bell Fruit clubbers are f**king shocking. One local club has a Club Bullseye in, and most of the punters are convinced it's faulty. Don't think I've ever seen more than £44 offered from the superboard on the 20p stake (it's £100/£250 @ 10/20p), and it's known to have not paid a jackpot in the 3 months it's been sited.
The Crystal / JPM 'Cash N Curry' next to it actually seems to be a better players machine. Admittedly it's not excellent, but it has at least paid several jackpot, and has given some decent feature wins.
I don't understand how BFM seem to have gone downhill with clubbers - I used to love Cops N Robbers (the original Scorpion 2 version, not the recent Scorpion 4 'Gold' and 'Platinum' models), but Bulleye (which is almost a straight clone of that old formula) is horrific.

Ah, fair comment Ben, I was talking emulated Bellfruits and thus Scorp 2 and prior in the main. I haven't played for real in years now so this was my era; it's quite possible that their modern stuff isn't all that for all I know.
Actually, Crystal were always good gambler's clubbers, albeit ridiculously easy to force in 99% of cases. You just kept plugging away at the ol' x12 gamble, until it would eventually roll over and give a near JP.
