Unplug the coin mech remembering wich plug goes were first and then theres a flap pull it open gently and spray a tiny bit of furniture polish in thengive it a good clean with a dry cloth or duster that should do the trick.hi again my machine is playing up it does take coins but i can put 20-30 pound coins in for it to take one the rest just keep coming back out do i need a new coin mech?

Having problems deciphering you what you mean, but think I have an idea.
What you poss describe, is something to do with a routing plug, which tells the mech where to divert each coin to.
On most Mars type mech's (Taken from looking at a 126), you will notice when looking in from the back, on the left of the unit, there is a small black block with some looped back wires on it. if this is missing or set wrong, then this would explain your problem. On the 129 type mech, this plug is found on the bottom right, just above the coin separator, and again works the same way.
EDIT..... seams tommy knows whats going off, my mistake.

Depends, a coin mech will have a tolerance of say between 20-80 ( I am using numbers to try and make it simple ). Then lets say a dodgy coin passes through the mech, the the mech will think someone is trying to fraud it and therefore it lowers its tolerance to say 40-60 for about 10 minutes. Then after 10 minutes if you try the same coin again you are back to square 1. Check none of the coins are worn or have a jagged edge or something.
Alternatively clean the mech but I would not use any polish or cleaning material as this can cause the resistors within to blow, just simple damp cloth will suffice.
Also when you open the flap at the top of the mech you should see a small piece of metal, make sure this is clear of debris as this is for the coins to balance out during the acceptance process, if this has crap on it the coins can not balance properly when they go through.
