Hi;

Recently got a vivid connect 4 machine which i believe is owned by barcrest, however im having a problem with the stake and prizes it keeps coming up with invalid key on the fruit machine display and wont let you go any further

on the stake and prizes connection it has "on" written on it at the top and the numbers "1-8" with very small swiches that go up and down under the numbers.

Does anyone know what i have to connect the stake and prizes to? I would like to play at £5 jackpot and 10p play, would also like the settings for £25 jackpot.

There is also a percentage key with "on" at the top and 1-4 written on it, again i presume there is some sort of way of setting the switches for this as well?

Any help much appriciated.

Here are the settings for Stakes/Prize key.

The number ones beign "ON" and zeros "OFF"

On the percent key 1-4 all I can remember is On Off On Off (1-4 respectively) is 78%.

hi tried various settings from the above but still get the same messages
invalid key,
no key con 2.1,
invkey con.

You can play it in free play by seetting the jackpot and the stake but as soon as you lock all the doors it just flashes up invlaid key on the display and beeps and you cant do anything, anyone have any ideas??

Try taking the stakes and prize key out when the machines turned off leave the key out and switch it back on and see if it goes to its default setting it may work.

if it works do i leave the key permantly out?

Do you guys think its worth buying a new stake and prizes key, do you think that would sort the problem.

There is a red button under the 2 keys has that anything to do with the settings?

My guess is the program roms wont allow the version you are trying.

Stilll cant get set this machine to any stake the only way i can get it to play is by taking the stake key out and it thens sets it to its default value of £25 jackpot and 30p playe.

I have been trying to get it to go to £5 jackpot and 10p play I have the decal and you can change it to this when in free play. When you in normal mode whatever you set the stake key to it just flashes up invalid key.

Has anyone else got any other ideas do you think it would be the key or the mpu5?
