hi all,
i am an absolute beginner to fruit machine roms and emulators.
i have downloaded a rom with 4 files in it with .p1 .p2 .p3 .p4 extensions.
i cannot get this rom to work,
can someone tell me which program i need to run this.

I don't think you have the right files to play a game. Normally you just open the emu and load the game. It sound like u have just the roms and not a layout. Download a game from this site then unzip it into a folder then load up the emu, Then file/load game and look for the folder you have just unzipped and click on that. You will then see the layout file click that and the game should load. make sure u have the right emu for the right download tho as some wont run in some emu's. Hope that helps

Sounds like you have only downloaded the ROM which is no good on its own.
Most of the more up to date games have the ROM included in the download..but the majority of the older M1A MPU3 and MPU4 games you have to download the layout 'and' the ROM to go with it.
Download for example on here 'The Great Escape' DX Layout..then 'The Great Escape' ROMS put both .rar files into a folder (which you can name whatever you like) load up the emulator and navigate to the folder and look for the .gam file which will then load up in the emulator and start running.
