Hi, i'm a newbie.
I have downloaded the game i have been waiting for which is in MPU5 format. I have got all emulators also downloaded but when i fire up the game it is too big for my screen and i cant see the buttons or lower half of the reels and i cant seem to find a way of resizing. Am i using the wrong emulator or is there a nack to this?
Any tips would be grately appreiciated

Hi welcome to fruit emu if your using a laptop the layout your using is proberbley a 1280 or1600 dx. If this is the case then you cant do nothing about that but to play the layouts that are 1024x768. There is quite a few 1024s in the downloads hope that helps ya.Hi, i'm a newbie.

If you lappy can go higher, then that would work. Most laptops are limited to 1024 x 768, hence tommys comments
Go on - blow it up. You know you want to

Yeah you can do that but it's if the resolution can be achieved on a laptop the range you want on your laptop is 1280x1024. If your using vistahi,

to change the resolution right click on your desktop go to personalise then go to display settings once in it drag the slider as far to the right it will go.I'm sure most laptops only go to 1280x800 well the newer ones anyway anything else just ask.

Hiya,
well i've cranked it up to 2048 by 1536 and it has improved it slightly, i can now see the half of the bottom reels but still no buttons (
is there a specific emulator i should be running for this game?
cheers

If you can get 1280x1024 then you will be able to play nearly all machines on that resolution. As for the emulator to play mpu5/scorpion 4 you need to use mfme 10.1 /9.4 if you want to play the older games mpu4/ system80 etc you can use mfme 3 most of the time and that will resize the layouts with the autosize tab checked in the prefferances so it dont matter what the resolution is with this emulator.Hiya,

Unfortunatley if thats the highest your screen res can go then you cannot play 1280 or 1600 layouts.
I have a 21" moniter and i cannot play 1600 layouts either..although i can see enough of them to play the game..the bottom half of the machine is cut-off.
Depends on how good your GFX is also..and with it being a laptop im pretty sure it would be onboard GFX.
If you use MFME 3.2 for playing some of the older type machines it has a handy auto-resize feature to fit everything into your screen..but if its the newer type machines you wanna play im afraid youll need to stick with the 1024 layouts.
Mmmmmm...Sandy ive 'ad her ye know.

I have a 21" monitor connected to my laptop and can play 1600 layouts.....have you updated your gfx drivers lately (if your gfx is ati the Catalyst control center/Catalyst driver increases the res your monitor can goto, well it did for me)
You can get catalyst drivers for amd chipsets from here http://support.amd.c...ages/index.aspx
Think your hard enough?

Yeah..i sure have m8..using the very latest drivers from the Nvidia site.
Using a FX5500 (256MB) pretty crappy standard card..but it does the job.
