Hello,
In september of last year I bought a Astra section 16 Slotto, I paid like £400, I paid with a postal order and got the machine after 2 months however the machine had no computer in it!!!
The sellers moved house and so now I have a machine with no computer, I bought a dell optiplex computer off ebay and put that in the bottom and just played some casino software games on it, trouble is if course the machine will not accept/payout money like this.
Could anyone tell me either how I can get the original software to fully work on it (as in accept/payout) money or how I can configure a visual basic .net app to be able to detect inserted coins and payout.
Could anyone sell me a computer for it?
Thanks, Adam

i can't believe u paid £400 for it that didn't have the original pc and sorftware for it.
chances are its gonna be slim to get hold of the software for it.
best bet tbh is ask bazpeeb as he may have the software disk for it

Hello, does the software disc install an entire xp embedded operating system pre configured or does it simply install the slotto exe software as I do already have the slotto.exe files someone else sent me.

these machines do need a lot of setting up on a computer
first it got to have a good graphics card and at least 3GB of ram then the bios has to be set up to run the software instantly and so on
cant belive you paid 400 quid for a shell lol

your gonna struggle mate because i'm pretty sure they all have security dongles as well as encrypted software.
we didn't get installation discs.
if anything went wrong the complete pc had to be sent back to astra.
also astra wont give you any specifics to their pc's.
you may have to shell out for one from astra or the cheaper option would be to buy a new machine.
cant believe you bought a machine without a pc.
didnt you see the machine up and running before you bought it???

Hi baz,
No, the machine was delivered so never saw it on, the seller had good feedback so I trusted them, then they moved house and f***ed off.
I do have a copy of the realking software which does not require a dongle, its version 1.0.0.1 or something, I think its really a case of getting drivers for the hopper and coin/note acceptor so a computer could recognise them.
Someones offering to sell me a slotto computer with original harddrive, how hard do you think that would be to set up?
Thanks a lot, Adam

did u get this machine off ebay?
did the seller claim the machine was fully working?
if yes to the above then i would certainly chase this matter up with ebay coz to me it seems this seller saw u coming.

Hi there,
Yes it was through ebay and they said it was fully working.
I intended to pursue it through the county court but since they have moved there place of residence this would be difficult.

if you intend to persue this matter through court then your solicitor should be able to get the address ect from ebay, he/she would have to write to ebay explaining what has happend and ebay should provide the information. even if this seller used paypal as a form of recieving money/payment then he can be traced via his bank.
if you don't mind me asking who was the seller? this is just to make other members aware of scams from this seller.

whilst the software is pc based, its not windows. ive got a dongle round here somewhere, but after you got a base pc with I/O boards to follow.. you looking at a fortune. £400 for a complete slotto sounds realistic now.
sorry m8
