Hi please help me (again...)

My machine has been fine for ages, then one evening it was just running no one was using it and it started to alarm.

OPTO

54-28

No 24V Drive

now there is a blown fuse and it just keeps blowing when replaced, i dont have the special antisurge (or slowblow i dont know) so I tried a slightly higher fuse.

nothing

any advice on fault finding this would be great

check everythings plugged in


somthings shorting out the reel board

cool will take a look, any idea how to get around blowing 100's of fuses testing?

u will have to find the problem manually anything you do to keep the machine running will blow the power pack then the machine will be use less


no other way round it mate

Ello, I have unplugged the reel boards and the machine still blows the fuse, could it be the power supply? with no fuse in the reels all spin when it initilizes etc with the bottom door open it gets no errors.

anything else i can try?

hmmm must be the power pack then


if and ONLY IF you knwo what your doing check the power pack to see if anything could be shorting if not you may concider buying a new one

but should any fuse's blow? if i unplug the fruit machine from the powersupply the fuse still blows, is that more likely to be the PSU or is it blowing because there is no load?

If there's no load connected and the fuse blows then the PSU must be shorted/faulty.
If it only blew when connected up then the short would be in the machine.
Wait for bazpeeb etc first in case I'm wrong though.

open the top door

looking at the lampholder side you will see either 1 or 2 pcb boards namely mux boards.

on each board assuming there is 2, there are 2 fuses onboard

check the 24v drive fuse on this board. that will be whats caursing the blowing of fuses

dont have one checked them in a simple battery / bulb circuit.
