Not sure if you read the rest of this thread, but there is a version for download but without the artwork. I would assume that this will be the chip that RB is going to use, so you can try that ROMset out and see what you think. Does the 3.1 when the door is open mean it's the 3rd program revision?

Your right, I didnt read the rest of the thread
the early chips were 2.0 and 2.1
3.1 is the chip I used to have on my own machine, still a good machine though, just dont be trying to climb the cashpot out, it'll take a loooong time

...Seems like you are right on the 'taking a long time' bit :)

Looking good RB, although the FME Purists may well disapprove :D

RB?? Have you been holding out on us?!

I'd like Kapang, the others are either unemuatable or are already DXed, although I can't rememeber a Big Wheel DX, at least not of that quality :)

Keep up the good work :D

well well well.....................................
the artwork finally rears its ugly head........
i think the early comparison was a bit unfair............
as uptil now..as most people probably thort.there was no known artwork...........i even pm,d GARY off poundrun.over 7 times for the KNOWN superblackjack artwork.and have had a wip in progress for some months........yet no one ever come forward with artwork.....and as stated this is very early wip from the release already on here.as people on here will no.you work from releases already done.hence the thanx in release notes for classics ect...

this WIP was posted back in febuary(look at the posting date).till i had a hd crash.....then the eventual; reworking and very time consuming effort of cuting and reworking
and the eventual release of this machine...(MY FAVE)
which i will now permantly shelve due too proper artwork......i knew there were glass scans ect out there.but for all the requests no one ever came forward.and no wip posted anywere , so i expected no artwork....(TO my knowledge)...this makes me very angry/frustrated to gather so much artwork/cut pasting reworking and actually resorting to remake artwork to then be shown a full cabinet..

Sorry about that Madman, hadn't checked the posting date :(

I know what it's like, when I was working on some of my layouts, I searched across all the forums and there were no existing DXs, then all of a sudden theres 3 - not on the forums, so I'd basically wasted my time on all of them :(

I get the impression from RB that he won't be completing his layout, and I'm sure that you could organise, or even redraw, bits of the artwork that are available and make an excellent DX from it!

I think theres already a good flyer for this, if Pooks DX is anything to go by - all thats missing are the Sound ROMs :(

Hi all,
Yesterday I collected my first real fruit machine, which is a Super Blackjack Club. I see that Madman was working on a DX a while back - is this still in progress Madman? I can send you some pictures if you need them. With the real thing sitting here obviously I'm pretty keen to have a go at DXing it myself as my second layout - I'm planning on taking identical photographs one lit and one unlit - that way it should be possible even to see the filaments of the bulbs behind the artwork :-)

Sounds like a great idea, but you will need to use a Tripod and a Timer function to ensure that there is no movement whatsoever between the lit and unlit pictures - otherwise there will be noticeable 'bouncing' and stuff of the graphics when you emulate it.

Having said that, I've never tried it before, I am only assuming that is what would happen. I'd still love to see a layout made in this way even if you don't have a tripod and timer setup :)

Hi Madman / Bencrest,
No problems with the photography - I'm pretty keen (even sold some pics in my time) so I know exactly what I need to do.
I've been looking at the Gaming Board guidelines today; I spoke to them a while back to make sure that I didn't need any kind of licence to have a machine at home, and they said that I didn't as long as the machine was for personal use only and not for any kind of gain. So, no problems there. However, what I saw on their site today was that to sell a machine (as a private individual) you should obtain from them a (free) permit. Does anyone know how this works? I don't know if the seller of this had obtained one - although it doesn't seem that there was any onus on me to ensure that he did have. Are these things like car registration documents where he sends off half and I get the other half to complete and send off too? I don't want to run into any trouble when the time comes for me to let it go - I'll ring and ask them about it some time this week, but does anyone here know how this works?
Thanks...
