I agree too. £100 would be more realistic. Fruit machines lose a hell of a lot in value in just 1 year. Sometimes losing 50 to 60% of their value. Thats based on the presumption that a brand new machine costs about £1200 as I was once told. So a year after new, £300 to £400 would be realistic. Boulderdash must be at least 5 years old and would be worth around £100 me thinks.

AFAIK its more like double that, but only from what I've been told by someone too :)
Boulderdash, MPU5 version in Genesis is worth about £125 in PERFECT condition - having said that, on eBay, anything can happen! One night I bid £145 for a Barcrest 'Big Game' machine - woke up and it had gone for around £280 from what I remember :)
I was going to have a boulderdash as my first machine - basically Ooh Aah Dracula with cavemen!
I'd plonk on eBay, starting price of say £150 or reserve at £150 and there is a chance it'll sell. Nothing wrong with Boulderdash but it's worth little for inability to handle £25JP. Best of luck though, hope it sells for what you are looking for.

Examples shown, with CLONES in () :
Wraparound trails :
Spiker / Monty Python (Neptunes Treasure/Arabian Knights) / Jackpoteers (Lotta Luck) / Jackpoteers 2 / Big Brother / King Kebab / Sheik Yer Money / Spice is Right (Holy Grail) / Psycho Cash Beast (Frenzy)
Hi-Lo Gambles :
Revolution / Fireball / Battle Axe / Ultimo.
I think those are about the ones you should be looking for - will all be in the £200 / sub£200 price range if you look hard enough!
Maybe someone else can add some more, any offers?
It's important to make sure you choose a good one first time, you don't want to change after a week because you get bored :)

Most BarX machines are rechipped rechips. Theres a few new ones about but they seem to be hooked up to Party Time top games. Theres some down the arcades in Hull that have £25 JP 25p play chips and the machines themselves must be around the 10 year old mark. It's just a matter of changing the chip and top glass and it's as good as new again. I wouldn't be surprised though if these 'old' revamps are considerably more to purchase than your average rebuild.

Just a word of advise when buying a machine for home use make sure you actualy enjoy playing the machine your buying that may sound silly but just think about it, it maybe the money that you enjoy winning so the machine isn't that enjoyable after a few weeks of playing due to the fact your not winning any money.Thats what i discovered recently after buying a Barcrests machine 'Frenzy'. So within a few weeks it may be back on ebay fingers crossed i'll get my money back on it.
Well I jumped into the river

Each Way Nudge MPU5 NOW £100!
Anyone interested? I will be uploading pics to my webspace when I get home Comes with 20 bulbs
Buyer to collect, although I can deliver within say 50 miles.
Reason? I will not have a courier firm damage it in transit, and then leave you with a knackered machine and no idea of how to fix it. I will install it for you, show you how to refill/test e.t.c and will give it say a 10 min test to make sure nothing has been shaken up too badly.

Hi,
I did check back after i posted the advert a couple of years back and decided to hang on to the machine because of how little it was being said to me worth then.Ive now sold the machine to a friend and im looking at buying a newer machine.
Ive had a good look through the forum tonight on what the best, most popular newer machines are.
When i get a list of machines that are available to me in a few days time i will ask in another thread of what you guys think would be the best/most fun to own.
