Hello to all.
Can any one help me out. I bought pulsation by red gaming a few months ago, and i now have an error. The error is a strim alarm?. I've had the coin mech out to clear any jams, that didn't do it, ive now bought a new coin mech and that didn't do it.Ive left the machine on to see if the alarm clears and still no joy.i've looked into the price of an engineer and that is well expensive. is really raging me off now as its a non critical alarm.. Can any body shed any light on the problem?. Many thanx Nick

Sounds daft, but have you tried letting the error time out?

I've never had a STRIM alarm on a Red Gaming machine, but sometimes they require say 60 seconds to time out before the machine becomes playable again.

Even if you change parts, you may have to wait for the alarm to time out - and if you power up / on with the alarm on, you can actually increase the time it takes the alarm to clear - being a fraud related alarm, it's designed to get attention :)

All the best with it anyway, if leaving it to time out doesn't work (you can unhook the wires from the speakers if the noise is doing your head in!) then hopefully someone with more experience can help :)

PS - I see you've posted in another thread, and said your error is the same. It isn't. STRIM is completely different to a £1 opto fault.

STRIM alarms are caused by the coin validator (where you put your coins into to play the machine), when it detects an error, whereas £1 OPTO errors are from the payout mechanism - where it can't sense a coin being paid out, either due to a jam, or a dirty / faulty sensor.
