As the recent thread on this subject had question marks at the end of the sentence, I thought I would post that; A - they are here, and B they are shite!
Gamestec at Wetherspoons outlets in Leeds have been working feverishly apparently to be the first outlets to have them. And they have.
First cab off the rank was Deal or No Deal, The Dream Factory. Oddly a triple stake affair; 25p/50p/£1. Boring flat ridiculous game on £1 stake. That cost me £30 to find out. Got bored with it, so switched to 25p; immediately had the DonD feature which gave £40; on the DonD feature the Mega Streak has gone.
Second was Italian Job. No £1 stake on offer, just the standard 25p/50p; again awful. No point playing it was my synopsis after recycling £30. The programming is different; no set ups available on the fruit ladder anymore. Infact I almost gave up on this new revolution for AWP's that was the £70 JP.....
Then I encountered a machine I had not seen before. "Monopoly Boom or Bust". This machine was off its tits, new installation, new RAM, it was obvious. Even so, playing the £1 "Mega Game" with it's bonus feature was boring. NOTHING HAPPENED!!! The same £5 blocks were there as with any BFM; so I switched to 50p per play which was the minimum. First spin three symbols on the winline which gives, according to the machine decal, an enhanced Feature. Jackpot was acheived without even pressing the start button. Played for afters and got a further £15.
Moved from one Wetherspoon outlet to another and played with varying success Family Guy, Double DonD, DonD Break the Bank and DonD The Perfect Game all at the new stake. I came home £30 up. The only reason why was because these were new with a new friendly RAM; when they get hammered they will be evil.
I won my £70 JP - thats me done!

nice one:)
i just lost £20 at a service station (then again they were all 70% sadly). played a starwars a new hope, which played the same, but has a cash or bust option now on ? which was strange. i think i was a few £ off that. stuck a couple in crazy chair and double deal. both cost about £4 for a board with little wins. then played a monopoly hot property which cost £10 for a board on 30p which was crap, and was just generallly blocking at £3 thereafter. all in all a bad gamble
i noticed that double deal has a mega phone game though :S

They have them taken over the multigames on the barcrest cabs at my local mecca and some of the games are not bad. Suprisingly the dead play isn't anywhere near as bad as I feared it would be - one of the games captain jack I think it's called is weird as if any of the players on any of the machines in the club get the top feature you all get it - so you can play slowly while others do their load in the machines and the feature just pops up and it often gives £50+ then there's a repeat chance attached to that. There's also a bingo themed one and takes on mummy money/ rocky/ elvis and rainbow riches. To be fair the money does dissapear in to them "very" quickly but you they do seem to pay out well against percentage - although I couldn't tell you whether that's because they have just been put in or not. I was pretty impressed but could imagine you losing a lot on them, although saw several people get 3 repeats on the £70 over the night - so they would regularly go for the £280 (which is maximum repeats).

I'm reasonably sure that they are supposed to be limited to 3 jackpots in total (one win plus two repeats), as per the other thread.

just come back from Brighton - my weekly row trip on fruit machines. this week of course was different as we were now seeing £70 jackpots. though i was lucky on the £70 road to riches monopoly (presented an invincible board on a red hot picka) i watch in horror at other people playing.
First impressions are that they play no different in respects of the paultry £1, £1.50 £2 wins etc. but the proof was in the playing..
imagine like the RED gaming machines, that there are blocks to over come, ie. you get the £5 block then £15 £25 etc. which you have to force through. well, now your playing a game that has double the jackpot but still seemigly offers the same other small wins ans just a double sized jackpot - therfore the blocks are still in place, playing just like a £35jp machine, but obviously now taking double to overcome the blocks.
conclusion - if you do indeed go out to play machines and love a brute force, take double what you would normally take. if you were the sort of guy who took out £200 to play machines and have a few beers (expecting at least one jp, take out double now). the divide is now more apparent :-
1. play machines for fun @ 25p play and win a few quid - if you lucky.
2. force one all out - but be prepared to do £300 if you caught it bad.

I have been playing machines since 4.80 JP's were available and I have a theory regarding them
Whatever the JP, put a '0' on the end and that's what you could put in to get the massive streak payoff.
Therefore - 25 JP = 250 outlay, 35 JP = 350 outlay and yes, you've guessed it, 70JP = 700 smackeroonies to get it.
I play machines primarily for fun - the financial outcome is always a massive bonus if I win big. I used to chase and get stung 6 times out of ten but now, I do not think that whacking in 50 quid without even getting a go on the board (I have put in 30 without a board on a 35JP so logically speaking, this must be possible), is totally insane. I feel that people, especially young people with large student loans or what people think is 'disposable income', will get totally addicted even more so now. They will chase and chase and chase for IM mode, Mega Ridiculous Streak and win say 200 off it This may come in a second time winning say another 100 so 300 in total. They are then very very happy - until next time when they lose 700 chasing the same streak - especially when the machines have been out for a bit and they all get chipped to play so bad that a JP comes in as likely as the Euromillions Jackpot.
All in all I think they're only worth putting in your lucky tenner and taking what you can get. Or you can get a mortgage to fund your 'habit' cos that's what we need nowadays to play them
A sad, sad day for all.......

I'm bored with these £70 jackpots now. When're the £150 / £2 per spin ones coming out??

Bet they'd still have the £1 minimum win as well
As for me, not encountered one £70 yet....but I don't go in Shipleys et al anymore, just a few quid in pubs. I'd rather have a roof over my head!

Don't forget to follow that £1 with £1.20 and then £1.60! Then a horrendous jump from say a tenner to £70 and you're sorted!Bet they'd still have the £1 minimum win as well

This is a site for EMULATION purposes of older machines. Not playing strategies.
If you are more interested in playing modern machines,
visit Jackpottyforums
(DOND is around now on this site..... How long was this sig out of date...!)

My advice is to play them as you would a £25/£35 jp machine ie play what you can afford and play on lowest stake. If it wants to go it will. I got a £70 jp from Star Wars A New Hope today. Only put a couple of quid in and got a super hold for 3 starwars symbols.

Our £70 DOND hall of fame got emptied last night.. Im not sure if its because the machine has fresh a fresh ram/rom (sleepy atm) or not, but when I was playing it on £1 a spin it was really happy. I got £120 in the bank from £15 in. Someone had recently got the jackpot before that also. Its set on 78% too.

Everyones making a mountain out of a molehill. Bunch of drama queens. There is a difference, but it's a tiny one and not really noticable. Fruitys will be around as long as people want to win money.
Thank fcuk for that.

Just played this snakes and ladders based game, it took £25 for a board on £1 a spin, so i gave up.
won £300 on Golden Charms afterwards, so not really that bothered.
