I have to ask, this machine's roms are scorpion 4, right? Does anybody know why this is not working when most scorp 4 do? It isn't new tech so did bellfruit add security or something into the roms?

I've no doubt one day it will be playable and this is the only dond machine I like so i'll look forward to it. The layout was good too.

i think its due to the security measures used on the hoppers

roms up untill im a celebrity are near enough emuable

only managed that as the roms used were really early ones

will edit & post a link as to all the reasons why

Was just listening to the sound roms.. I have this machine in my pub and put at least 10k through it.. there are still a lot of sounds i havent heard. :s

Might set the "aee how do ya feel" one as my text tone or something..

Absolutely typical of how Fruit-Emu is progressing with the new younger generations being let in!

No wonder I hardly come back and post here anymore, it seems that some of the lunatics are taking over the asylum. Be it post count, casino cash and all the other jingles that FE has given them reason to drive all the old FME members crazy with. This site is becoming a joke on occasions, and it really is upsetting to see Fruit Emu get like this because of some of the idiots that we have allowed.

Matty can make some lovely layouts, and credit for that, but tell me, in all honesty, what is the point really of this thread? Why do it, when the regular members of FME know that this cannot be emulated? Why do it when they know that this really irritates the true members of Fruit Machine Emulation?

Come on Ben lets be fair......there is a forum titled 'Any Chat' and thats exactly what it is...

Of course there will be 'junk' as you, me and next doors cat would put it.....and some may consider One of those threads as a good One.

FF has junk, FE has junk, DADs and the Mecca has junk....put all that aside they are all good FME forums, but without the 'junk' they would (lets be honest) become pretty boring as good as any site is.

I am not calling Fruit Emu for the Emulation side of things - it is an excellent site, and glad I have supported through my own little way over the years. I have no complaints against Duplu, you, or any other of the admins and mods that take care of the site.

A suggestion I will put forward is that any of the 'noobs' as such should be threatened with their post counts being returned to '0', their casino cash returned to '0' and other 'punishments' that the site could put forward if they continue to spam and troll our beloved site. Over the past couple of years, this site. more than any of the other FME sites, has let the newer members on, and to be honest, it has really spoilt my viewing of the site, because of all the 'lols' pmsl' cheeky smiles and total inane rubbish that counts as English spelling.

I have given a couple of suggestions in the previous paragraph Ady that you could all in admin look at, and threaten the noobs with, just to try and keep the FME part of Fruit Emu on track - and other sections too, where the thread has gone totally 'noob'!!

I love this site, as you know I do Ady, but it has dropped its standard a little with the newer generation as it has joined, and it needs to be reminded to most of the newer members that it is an FME site in the main, and that it isn't just a forum for the young 'uns to get their post counts and ratings to beat each other with - that is really getting on my nerves, to be honest.

I hope you will look into it for the mainstay members of FME mate.

Before they are allowed accounts they should pass a quiz so they know what an emulator, layout, rom and simulator are.
Also they should learn how to use a zip program correctly....

Indeed any members reply here (or PM me or One of the Ad's/Mod's if you want to remain anonymous) with any thoughts that we can consider.

My biggest gripe has been mentioned........pish for $, but then who are us Mods to decide....happened before, some older members then call us staff 'Hitlers' just for trying to keep it on-track....fine divide really.

lets be honest here, every forum I have been on gets spammed, trolled and is full of lol c u l8r etc. It's internet culture. Annoying? Yes. A reason to ban/punish someone? No. Resetting post counts to zero is harsh. At the end of the day lets just be better people and get on with it and leave the noobs alone. You was a noob at some point, right?

This thread was kind of pointless but no harm done. Most people who care know dond cant be emulated so they have a choice to read the thread or not and move on.

I myself couldn't care about anyone's post count....I'd sooner read a comment from you (low post count) than a shit spammer (1000+).

It's quite a good point TBH, and it does need looking at. For example I joined similar to Kriss (sorry Kriss to involve you). Probably we both spammed a bit, but we have contributed (Kriss more than me bless him), and that makes a big difference, also we have stopped smamming (shite box exempt). I agree some, not all (indeed some of the newer members contribute lots - TommyC for example), but some are just spamming at new record levels.

I do agree with the points, and yes everyone spams sometimes, but this is getting ridiculous ( don't post here much now TBH). Also I've noticed that DAD doesn't post here much, which is a reflection of this point......I'm sure (get a feeling) that it's due to Daryl's comments above which I agree with 100%.

You obviously picked Fruit Forums on a 'slow news day' as far as fruit machine chat goes

Anyway, I'll have to disagree with your point there. I don't think it's the amount of FME content people are complaining about, more the attitude / posting habits / spamming by the obviously younger members, most of whom need a major sense of humour transplant (because their idea of humour simply isn't funny). I assume it's just because they are kids. Constantly horrific grammar and childish innuendo are not my cup of tea. If I wanted that I'd go back to school (not really, they'd never take me back - and I'm a bit too old).

Had a quick look at the Mecca earlier. I say a quick look, my first couple of posts and it's clear the members there have a genuine passion for machines (in a restorative / emulation / nostalgic sense) and I think that'll be one of my new daily pages. Seems like a really good collection of like-minded chaps over there.

Oh, by the way, Fruit Forums isn't really an FME site. It's still somewhat of a fruit machine site - but only when that's a topic people are discussing. The FME website scene is plenty saturated at the moment. Fruit Forums is more of a pub environment, adult banter, like minded people talking about things we might be interested in. If people don't like it, and obviously some don't, that's fine. However it's got a community there that seem to enjoy using it. Fruit machine discussion does come up - but many there have seen the light and given up now (or are in the process of giving up... or trying and failing to give up!), and you are the most popular FME site so I pop here for new layouts, as do many others.

But as I have stated Ady, I haven't a gripe against FE with the emulation side of things - it's just that in some posts, sometimes about FME, the young ones reply and you, to be honest, haven't a clue what they have written, because it is in a language that I just don't undertsand. It certainly isn't English the way I learnt it, and by the time you have tried to decipher what they have put, you have lost all track about what the thread is about!

FE is an excellent site for FME - I do not deny that at all, but some of the newer members, especially the younger generation that have been allowed to join (but certainly not all, as I have had chats with a couple of them), have brought a degree of doom to FME, because they just haven't a clue (or I haven't) what they are on about.

I have stated that you all do an excellent job here Ady, and like you have said, where do you draw the line? But that line should perhaps have been drawn before we allowed to have kids under 18 years perhaps, join our forum. The young ones now think they know everything about the fruities in the amusement arcades, yet they are always broke and asking for money off of you if they think they have given you a winning streak on a slot machine (even though when you are playing it, you certainly know that isn't the case), and it seems a lot of them have joined us here and are now spamming and trolling us with some of their worthless drivel about what they do! I really, as an old FME person, do not want to know! I joined this site for FME, and not to read kids speaking in chav pigeon English, just trying to get their post counts, and other things that the forum offers them.

I am glad that you have said that you and the admin will look into some of the issues I raised in an earlier post. It proves you listen to us Ady, and i am thankful for that, but something radical needs to happen because I suspect that quite a few older (and younger too) FME fans are sick to the back teeth of some of the younger, newer members and their inane dribble.

Thanks for reading Ady, and I wait for what I hope is a meeting of admin to sort out this situation once and for all.

i have to say some of the points u have said are right but the text talk bit i aint sure of thats part of life now most people do it old and young but some on the stuff on here has put me off a little i just feel alot of people need to be shown its not what the site is about but every site needs new people old and young to keep it going but the under 18 thing is something i have thought about is it a good idea to have kids playing these machines and getting even more into them cos that would have happened to me at that age but everyone has there own thoughts on stuff like this and we need to respect how everyone feels and remember changed will happen in life its a fact

Bruce as im 20 years old, i actually agree with you on having it restricted to over 18s only this site and no-one under the age of 18 as it can really impact them on machines and that lot and end up losing all there money all because they joined this site and think that 'Sims,Roms' and that lot will do the same thing as they could in arcades..
