Lol the mint some how printed 200,000 new 20p's without a date on them. I have been told that you can get up to £50 each if you send them back to the mint. So check your pockets and see if you have any, if so you can keep them see if they are worth more in years to come or cash in now and get ya £50's.
Its been over 300 years since the mint last minted coins without a date on so a big cock up on there part.

I read this but......................What i'm confused about is....just who's pocket does this £49.80 for each mess-up comes from?....
Bang goes another Cancer Ward due to a 'public service' (Royal Mint) mess-up!
Just how the hell could that happen???........surely the proof readers are 10x worse on public cost's that the MP's scam?
It is funny it happened, but there is a serious side that I haven't seen the media address so far!

I TOTALLY AGREE M8...gov will pay(us) for their recall costs..whereas they really dont do fkin anything proper with their funds anymore...its all just too pc...whatever suits the mood is the answer..ie..if theres a war..spend spend spend...but health and communities...well they can all fight and ill health themselves to death...thats a way of saving public spending
(and I am a patient of your aformentioned statement...

No, they can't. Thats called quantitative easing, and definitely wouldn't be allowed for this reason.

Quite simple only the idiots that pay more than 20p for one lose out not the mint as all there still worth is face value. The mint would give you 20p for it.
So no panic ady were not all gonna have to pay for the blunder lol

....if you give your 20p back to the royal mint they won't pay £50, they would just give you 20p again lol..it's another company, similar name though!
..also there not doing it now, as already stated seek private buyers (fleabay) and the likes.

Reckon after Gordon reads this he'll get the Royal Mint to "accidentally" strike a pile of incorrect coinage and flog them on e-bay, especially when he finds out a 20p is worth £5k - crikey that's 25000 times the face value. That'd help with his profligate spending plans.
