Well its not exactly new, I got it given.

Its made by a company called Infinaty and ive never heard of them before so there not familiar to me. It seems a very basic laptop looks like its com out of a company as its got stickers on it.

Thing is it looks like its been dropped anf i think the HDD is corupt.

Ive installed windows xp HE on it as thats what it had before. When it turns on though i keep getting a message saying somthings missing but sometimes it will start up as normal.

I also dont have any sound drivers or wireless or display drives for it what could i do about that ??

cheers

go one the site that made it....

1..hope it has a support and downloads section...
2..prey that your particular lappy hasnt been already registered with them
if it hasnt then you MAY have to register it ,to d/l the goodies u require

(onto a stick)..then onto your lappy
if i had HALF of the HALF a brain ive got...i,d be EXTREMELY DANGEROUS...

when you switch the laptop on keep hold of ALT and keep pressing F10 until it beeps and it should take you to the recovery options which will then restore it to factory settings

Try using this tool, it will give you some info about the hardware:

Unknown Device Identifier - Freeware Download

Not a great help, have you tried sisoft sandra, that may give motherboard information.

http://www.ecs.com.t...enuID=0&LanID=8 is the ECS website, I think thats who makes the motherboard.

Also, look for Techiez Toolz 3 (can be found on usual p2p method). This self booting cd has a tool that attempts repairs bad sectors on a drive without destroying the data.

If you want a copy of this disc, PM me!
