I might be buying a Crazy Fruits Club, £250 JP. Is it possible to convert it to £25/35/£70JP?
If not, never mind, it can just go in my room eh.
edit: I can see it can be set to £75... so close.

An AWP is a 3 reeled machine, the Club is a 4 reeled machine....also all the win values and features are called different things.
So in a nut-shell no you can't on that One....
In fact I can only think of One machine where that may be slightly possible (seeing as both versions use 3 reels)...Jewel in the Crown.

The only machine I can think of where this is possible is Centurion Club by Empire - not sure if you can convert it to Cat C but I know you can run it on either £75/£100/£150/£200/£250... or £8 Jackpot

have to stop you there ady, a club machine can be however many reels you want, there is a 3 reeled red gaming £150 in the local legion.
The Jackpot is that gives it its category, £75 £100 £150 £200 £250 are typical for clubs, but £500 and £1000 do exist as upgrades for casinos and the like. The reason for the 4 reels is to give more win combinations.
Other than being older technology, there would be no stopping a chip to enable a club psycho cash beast to be upto £1 per spin and £70 jackpot. though firstly the insustry would make no money from small rechips, and secondly, club machines have been designed to drop jackpots once in a blue moon, and not every hour.
i did raise the question before - if the cat. c jackpot was £75, would we have seen some of our old favourites in arcades ? cops and robbers in every arcade would be nice - imagine players hunting for good cashpots!

how much should i be looking to pay for this machine?
The seller says there is a reel error too, and that its worth £350 and that she wont let it go for less than £120.. (Should have a put a reserve on it if that was the case..) Its currently at £56.

Be hard pushed to get £120 to be fair, and reel error makes me think either a fault with the opto / it's not picking up the reel flag for some reason, or a faulty MPU (Poss battery damage).

Agreed, it's not worth £120 as the last one I owned cost something like £150/£160, that was over 2 years ago.
£350? She's bloody shrooming.
If you know what you are doing and have the time to repair - and if the cabinet is in excellent condition - then £100 is absolute tops - but I'd aim to get it for about £50. After all, it's going to need you to invest in some more hardware, and if say it turned out the Scorpion board were buggered, and the PSU was on it's way out, you could be looking at £70 anyway.
Part of me thinks that if it were a simple repair she'd have done it herself if it were really worth £230 more - who would lose that amount of cash over a simple job?!

Yeah, im staying away from it after thinking/reading replies. its a bit too pricey now (£63), can pick up better machines for the same price or less. Currently bidding on another machine instead.
