If anyone could give me some help/advice on my fruit machine I would be really greatful.
I have a Treble Top fruit machine by Empire Games and it was working fine for the first six months of me having it, and then one day when it was about half way through paying out a jackpot win an alarm sounded (which I think was alarm 17) and it said 'coin in opto'. Anyway, having not seen this before I opened up the top and closed it again, the machine restarted and continued to pay out the remainder of the win.
It then started to only pay out only half of every win due before alarming up again. I have also seen it say 'pnd hopper jam', but it still used to continue to pay out the remainder of the win after resetting.
Recently, when it has been due to pay out it rarely alarms, but instead the hopper makes a slight noise as if it is going to pay out, but the machine will just count down the win as if it is being paid out, but nothing comes out of the hopper. Sometimes just one or two coins will come out, but mostly none come out at all.
I have had the hopper apart and can turn the wheel in the middle freely by hand, and coins pass through the red spring thing (sorry, don't know what that's called) as they should and come out of the hopper when I do this. However, the errors I have mentioned still remain.
It is a barcrest hopper that can pay out in 20ps or pound coins, but it is set to pay out in pound coins only. In the bottom of the machine is an MPU5 power unit for it.
I don't know much about the workings of the machine at all, so I hope someone can help me.
Thanks for reading and for any help in advance.

Just sounds like your hoppers about to pack in maybe you'll need to buy a new hopper and that should sort the problem. If anyone could give me some help/advice on my fruit machine I would be really greatful.

let me know what colour the hopper is at the part where you can put your fingers in and turn.it should be purple or yellow.
also what it says on the side of the hopper.it should say either compact hopper or hopper mark 1l or seriel hopper mark II.

Baz - The bit inside the hopper is yellow. And a silver label on the hopper says that it is a 'compact hopper'.
Thanks everyone for your replies already.
