Hi All,

This has come all of a sudden.

It now won't let me do anything?

What is it and how can I fix it?

Edit: I just took out the price percantage 78% plug and now its working, are these renowned for causing problems?

gen meter error is usually the little black box up beside the coin mech.it has a digital display that can be seen from outside the machine and this records cash in cashout and so forth.

usually when you get these errors it needs a replacement as they cant be repaired.

Edit: I wiggled the black box and it worked for about £2 worth of credits, then the led's went out and it stopped, then the same error comes up again - is this whats wrong with it or is it buggered?

Is it easily replaced if i got the part or does it need someone who knows what they are doing?

Pull the wires out of the little box...and tie the wires together...touching the metal wires together.

I went to take all the coins out of the hopper and thought how weird the hopper isnt connected and low and behold the cable was out at the back!!

It seems to be ok now.

It says SEC 02E and refuses to do anything.

I thought it was sorted as a cable was out of the hopper, that must have been when I was trying to fix it.

It's still knackered!

Are there different types of meter's or are they generic?

The only one I can find is this:
NEW LCD METER FOR FRUIT MACHINE on eBay (end time 25-Aug-09 11:39:19 BST)

£30 seems a bit pricey, will that work on my Global fruity?
Mine has a white cable going into it, can't seem to loosen the clip but I might just be being a girl!

A lot of meter errors are caused by dodgy / flat crimps on the connectors,

you need to disconnect it and look 'down' the connector where the pins go in to see if any have been flattened causing intermittent contact with meter / board.
I suspect this could be your problem as you say it worked after wiggling it.

Epoch machines could be notorious for this

And £4 is cheap, had some before and worked ok, I think they must have found away of resting them for that price!
