None that are all a bag of shit. Ffs why cant they make new games and be done with it, they want us to put hard earened cash into them we should have a say on what we would like. Do they ask people what they like? nope they just spend 100's of thousands on DOND shit.

i found that dond's on 35jp were a lot more generous than the 70's but my favourites are big deal, crazy chair and dream factory, but df on 70 tho has gave me a lot of prizes 40+ the one feature i like is open the box, normal or red it regulary offers around 30-50quid!! but it can take a fortune to force.

To be fair to Bell Fruit Games, they've hit a real winner with the DOND formula - you only have to see how many appeared in pubs (I was in a Wetherspoons a while back that had 4 x DOND based machines (inc the Family Guy one), the only other machine was one of the Barcrest Star Wars ones.
If the DOND machines are still taking such good money, there is no need to can them and come up with a whole new formula, which is both expensive and not guaranteed to sell.
A local pub asked me what sort of machine would take good money. I told him honestly, a DOND would. Didn't listen - pub around the corner reopened after being shut for years, and their Hall of Fame has taken an absolute fortune, typically paying out several jackpots a day (most has been 5 in one day). The pub that asked me had a Rovers Return in, which paid out 2 jackpots in the whole time it was there. IIRC it was taking about £90 p/w in the cashbox.
He's since got a DOND 'Can You Beat The Banker?', and it's getting played much more.
You can't argue with the cashbox figures.
Still, one day people will probably get bored of them, and then BFG will bring out something else.

I gotta agree with Bencrest... when we got our first DOND (can you beat the banker), the silver cash box was overflowing as we only used to empty once a month, and that was only if we remembered.

best for me would be (opens bfg website as there's so many):
Whats in your box (quite a good machine)
Power Five (the machine of the £105 streak at M1 services next to East Mids airport after I dropped my mate off there)
Dream Factory (few pubs I go to have this, not a bad game)
(and the first one on £5 jp)
Worst:
Can you beat the banker (50p mode is terrible)
Crazy Chair (robbing piece of....)
It's your show (had the misfortune of playing this on £70 recently. Took almost £20, took super Lucky numbers where it gave me 50p...super I don;t think so)

DOND fruit machines will stay strong for long as the actual show runs on channel 4!!! or the bearded one gets shot by a hitman. ...though that might make it worse

Surely its all relatve. If you win on a machine you like the machine, if you lose a lot, chances are you wont. Ok you may have a certain preference over profile, I personally hate very flat profiles, much prefer the odd big win. However I cant stand extremely lumpy profile's either.
As long as they are paying out there minimum percentage, they are all the same.

dont agree with anything you just said, in fact i'd go as far as to say its BOLLOCKS.
the reason why so many appear is because barcrest pulled themselves right out of the hi-tech market, 1 machine every 6 months if you were lucky. wher as the DOND franchise is merely being cashed in on. if you scout around you can now find electrocoin in the hi-tech market, and JPM seemingly making a come back.

Not too sure nails.
Barcrest were still pretty active in the industry when the first DONDs started to come out. As you say they slowly started to withdraw - but couldn't this have been because they were taking a serious beating at the hands of BFG?
Virtually every pub where I live has a Bellfruit DOND machine. Some pubs that got rid of their fruit machine altogether have now magically brought it back - DOND of course. This isn't by coincidence. You do see occasional Electrocoin or JPM, but these are very rare.
Why did Barcrest copy the DOND game towards the end - if you can't beat em join em?
They're tedious machines (unless you get the phones feature) and I'm sad to see barcrest go, but BFG won the war and DOND was a major part of that. Fair play to them, they were the minnows just a few years ago.

The way I see it - from a players point of view and those from my friends who play - they like the concept of the phones DOND feature. When the first DOND machine was released, which I think was the 4 reeler(?), the excitement factor wasn't quite there because you had to collect numbered squares to knockout the values and then the offer was calculated based on that result, but once Can You Beat the Banker was released and the DOND feature was collected wholly, it created a sense of excitement not knowing what values would be eliminated, what your offer would be and what would be in your box - thus creating a sense of excitement and an element that had not been seen in hi-techs before. I do believe that the jackpot increase has caused the gameplay to be much flatter and more predictable but in essence players still aim to achieve the 'exciting' DOND game (which is why Barcrest and Electrocoin have followed in their footsteps). Obviously I can't speak for the entire playing population but it would seem the reason why they are so popular/addictive.
