Why don't you put it on sourceforge (SourceForge.net: Find and Develop Open Source Software). This way some other guys could write various modules for the project.

Good Luck

No video i am afraid. As for multi rom support, no idea, post some roms and I will see what I can do. Do you have any more information on the problem?

Ive had a quick look.

I can make some roms display things on the alpha display, but they do not work properly.

FMEF is on hold at the moment while I complete an unrelated project, when I get back to it I will take a better look and see what can be done.

Do german games use a real time clock?

Not much really, I did a big post a week or so ago on the mecca if anyone wants a read in detail.

For those that dont read the mecca I can summarise briefly.

Really busy at work over xmas, plus another programming project which has to take precedence. Once the new year gets under way FMEF will resume shortly.

Lots of stuff is happening in my head, new ideas and ways around problems. But nothing happening code wise as I havent got time right now.

Editor and graphics geting a re-design to accomodate directx8 being useless at anti-aliasing unless you were sensible and bought an ATi gfx card.

Next release will be called FMEF2 and will be the first proper FMEF MPU4 emulator. I.E. useable.

BWB, and Coinworld CHR's added to the mix, hopefully crystal too if I ever get hold of a crystal rom board with encryption.

MPU4 only for the next release, with new techs being added as quickly as possible. (Scorpion 1+2 BFM, and Maygay M1 tech next).

Due for release some time in 2010.

Thanks for the update Guitar.

I did post this at the Mecca, but did you get anywhere with MPU2. I know you were working on it earlier this year but then stopped abruptly and started on other techs.

Cheers

Ive almost replied to that 3 times lol. Like I say, been busy.

MPU2 is still "on the cards" but System80 leaving the mecca was a bit of a blow because as far as I am aware he's the only one who knows how to dump the roms.

Lack of time and resources mainly. I plan on finishing all the MC6809 based techs first, then the 6800 series. Afetr that probably changing to z80. The largest bit to write of any emu is the cpu core so may as well ues each one to its fullest before writing another.

If resources arise then there is no reason why it cant go ahead as planned in time. At this stage nothing is off the table, just whatever arrives first in terms of resources.

I'm interested in the older techs as I feel they should be covered before updating to things like mpu5 or scorp 4.

Ah - thank you. That does explain things.

From my simplistic viewpoint it seemed that MPU2 would be easily achievable as it would be a very cut-down MPU3, but as you say, if resources are unavailable then there is little purpose served.
