went to flamingo land, and had a go at throw a ball into a bucket, it always came out, so how do you win???

In short fella, its impossible ! A lot of these games were shown on The Real Hussle and the old hoops over bottle and milk churn game is next to impossible to win at - hense why the prizes are generally better - you will never win a decent prize for £2 a go at a fair or they would never operate such games. A bit like people expecting to win a Play Station on Stacker or Lighthouse for £1 a go - walk away is the best advise !

You need to be lucky and a good shot lol....

The balls or hoops do fit the hole but with such a small margin of error its almost impossible....

There are many tricks the operators use of course.....not so fair in the fairground bud I suppose really......

I remember One night on Brighton Pier, I got a ball in a milk churn and won a big lion (looked a right prat with that around town!) on the first of 3 balls.....I was amazed that I got ball Two in too...but only I lion......my 'pride' was ruined (think about it lol---but it was true)

The only person I've ever seen win on a hoopla was my lad when he was about 8 years old. Instead of throwing the hoop directly over the stand, he just flung the hoop right over the top and it re-bounded against the backboard, came back over the stand backwards & went straight to the bottom.

The bloke on the stand just stood with his gob open and was very reluctant to give away the £20 note prize, but luckily there was quite a crowd watching at the time who all started cheering and clapping. The fella had no option but to hand over the prize lol

The good lad that he is spent his winnings on his sisters by buying them a cyber pet each :)

i've won a bottle of vodka, big bar of chocolate and 20 quid(where it's displayed as a big laminite one) all in one go strapped together.

The woman was doing the old slogans to drag you in and i got pressured into trying it, what i did is not to try and "spin" the ring like you would a frisby but to get as tall as possible and launch it down on the blocks as hard as you can.

like dad said she stood there looking suprised which shows how riggged they must be but at least she said well done darlin' and handed over me vodka no i.d asked :D

A few years back I actually worked on the games in question at Flamingo Land. All games are possible to win on, but obviously they are not easy to win otherwise there would be a winner everytime.

The ball in the milk can is easier than the hoop over the bottle neck which is why the prize will normally be bigger on the latter of the games. As an operator I used to offer incentives to increase peoples chances, one way was for people to buy a whole bucket of rings for a set price. If people throw one at a time you have to be extremely lucky, for the people who threw the whole bucket of rings in one go increased their chances of winning.

These games are never impossible - yeah the real hustle has shown some games to be fixed but the ones at flamingo land definately werent.

Take shootin hoops for example, they tend to pump the basketballs up to the max, so that everytime you took a shot it would just bouce off the hoop. But come to the end of the season they tend to deflate the balls to a certain point so that its easier to win, just to get rid of unwanted stock.

All the fun seems have been well and truly sucked out of the funfair nowadays. My lad was hyped up about having a go on 'Hook a Duck' I let him have a go... £2.50 mind. To cut a long story short, there is no prize tier anymore. When I was a lad the ducks had different colours or numbers on the bottom to indicate which prize you could get. So it was like yeah pick anything on the stall. No excitement. I may as well have just bought him an inflatable guitar for 99p.
