First of all hello everyone, i have been visiting this site for a few months now but i am in need of some help if anyone is willing...
I have an MPU5 machine, life's a beach and for some reason it's not willing to play ball with me. when i switch on the machine the alarm sounds and thats all. no lights no display.
Open the thing up and on the MPU5 board the four leds indicating correct voltage are all solid green but the status led flashed red five times then green once then red five times then green and it just does that over and over.
The hault light is unlit, anyone give me some pointers?
Thanks guy's and girls.

Try letting it time out. Might be the OFF-ON alarm to avoid people unplugging it and plugging it in to void a game of sorts
This is a site for EMULATION purposes of older machines. Not playing strategies.
If you are more interested in playing modern machines,
visit Jackpottyforums
(DOND is around now on this site..... How long was this sig out of date...!)

I have left it on but with speaker unplugged for 20 mins yet nothing, i do have another machine next door to it, same inside and out just sub zero.
So i could always try replacing bits till i find the fault bit, just was hoping for an easier solution. lol

Well i got her working again, although not sure what the problem was.
I unplugged all connections from the MPU5 board (they were def plugged in nice and tight so no lose wires) but left the power connected. Booted her up same fault so i took programme module from Sub Zero and popped her in the MPU5 from Life's a beach and she seemed to work or so the leds led me to belive.
I popped the Life's a beach programme module into the Sub Zero machine and hey presto working so i guess the preogramme module was ok so i was thinking must be power supply....
Anyway, put the Sub Zero programme module back into Sub Zero machine and continued to put the Life's a beach module back in it's own MPU5 and powered her back up with the cables still removed from the board and this time no status led so thought hmm try it with cables re-connected and it works again.
Not sure what that was all about, just thought i would post my fix just in case anything like this happens to someone else.

no lights no display and an alarm
only thing i can think of is a faulty MUX unit ( thats the board on the back of the top door it controls the lights and the power for the alpha display is run through here
if it happens again plug the alpha display directly into the motherboard (is on one of the sides of the board) and it will give u the error through there
