Sorry but someone has to point this out



I cant seriously belive money is being wasted for this bollocks to be produced !! AND people are beliveing it ?!

I was recently up in Oban in Scotland for somthing thats irrelanvant so I watched an episode in the hotel room....

He was trying to make the nation belive that they were trapped in a chair by this hypnotism thing and as he was chatting on about somthing i noticed a picture pop up of what looked like a man straped by rope into a chair.

this was on of them pictures that pops up for a milisecond.... its that common effect .... if you take a room full of people and one sneezes someone else is likley to ....

and was this ment to be live ?? (because he had a call in thing at one point)

now then for a start it looked way to rehurst** to look live and the camera quality was noticable differnt from a live picture broadcast.
if you are strapped into a chair how the f*** do you walk to the other side of the room and pick up the phone if you cant move ....
and would health and saftey allow you to broadcast the programme and to say if someone stole your car you would have to get up and out of your chair to stop them ?? there were no reports of this (unless all the buglars were stuck in there chairs aswell)

Also the predicting the lottery numbers ........ after they had already been drawn ........ sorry but this is just common sense why do people belive into this shit ??

and the one tonight i didnt what but a few people on my msn said that it was shit and the ending especially ....

Yeah but the tricks he uses are used every day by advertisers and marketers, and salesmen. And people dont even notice.

He's good, he is. But you cant complain because its not real, he's doing "magic", when did you ever think it was real? Its still entertaining though.

Derren Brown is an entertainer. I think he's pretty good, thats just my opinion of course.

Gotta agree with this, he's either loved or hated, kinda like Marmite.

I mean, I personally think Little Britain and League of Gentlemen etc is shite, but people love it elsewhere.

As for entertaining.... this brings back the old Wrestling arguments. YES it's fake, yes it's acting (if you watched any of the Hogans Celebrity Wrestling you'd seen them practicing daily to get the 'routine' correct. But then it's SPORTS ENTERTAINMENT not Sport.

Some of Derrens tricks I don't believe, like when he was in blackpool chatting to someone and simply asked them for their keys and wallet, they handed them over willingly. However, how can you comment if you've never had it done to you, so don't know how it would feel or if you would do the same...

i didnt see last night i watched benidorm instead but watching the others i found them very entertaing and was amzed at the illusions

I went to see him live with the gf as she is a big fan and i have to say it was a great show well worth the money i could work out some of the stuff he did but it was still great to watch and anything has to be better than paul daniels back on the tv

At the beggining of the show he asked people to get thier phones next to them so they could take part by calling in if they got stuck to the chair.

I think he's done what hes set out to do with his events, and that is to gain popularity, and get the nation watching and talking about him and his events.

Yo guy's , i have read only the first page so sorry if i repeat something?

derren brown has admitted that all the things he does are tricks of the mind or magic... When he asks someone to think of a name then guess's it, thats quite easy to master. Basically when you repeatedly say something in your head you accidently and uncontrollably cannot stop you lips from twitching the letters or words.. something he would of learned when doing psychology.

The quick flash you saw on the screen is called a subliminal cut! they were band age's ago in adverts..Cinema's used to do it during films and trailers, flash up picture's of drinks and popcorn.. When done properly it actually does work and suggestive people fall for it everytime.. A true subliminal cut you wouldn't notice as they happen very quickly. but derren brown's show has to flash it a bit longer for legal reasons....

There's other tricks i could say about but it's hard to write it all. Basically he's a clever man but not everyone's cup of tea like already said..
