In it was all the doom and gloom that FME was going to come to an end ... three years later, we are still here, still gathering resources and roms and still making layouts, not only for MPU5 and S4, but also the older techs as well.
Also mentioned was that MPU5 would probably never be cracked ... how many MPU5 layouts have been released in the last three years since the leaks?
The leak of the emulator must have been a gut-blow for Wizard, the creator of FME and the scene as an whole, but it happened. Although Wizard has never publically released an update to any of the emulators, probably over a hundred or more layouts have been created since then, we have worked around the difficulties and managed to keep FME going.
This inner circle that we keep hearing and reading of - what about it? Yes, they do perhaps have newer (or older techs) to play, with layouts and resources for them to create them, but eventually, they do fall out with each other, and then we get the 'public leak' and we have them anyway - and we have proved that we are resilient in working our way through the difficulties of cracking them - we have proved this - as we are still here three years later after the major leak of the emulator.
So Chris (Wizard) if you do read this thread, your scene is still here, your emulators are still used to create layouts, we are still gathering rescources for ALL techs, and the vast majority of the members of the FME scene do respect what you have done for us all. After three years, your scene and creations are still here, it would be nice if you could acknowledge that we have worked hard without no updates to still keep the scene going and it would be marvellous if you would tell us that there might, eventually, be an update in the offing for us all to look forward to.
Your past work and brilliance has given many of us, especially myself, many years of pleasure on my computer.
