The thing that really annoys me now is that you pretty much have to play on 50p a go minimum because with all of the machines that have the 27-way win lines, e.g. Monopoly Road to Riches, DoND Power 5, etc, the 25p stake only gives you the normal middle win line. There's bugger all chance of winning that way.
£1 a go? F*ck that!

Exatley it's just another way to force you to play bid offering numbers in view and double numbers. What happens you don't get any numbers to be in view or doubled all a croc os shit in my eyes lol.

I can only imagine 27 win lines was sarcasm, as i have played those machines and swear i've counted a maximum of 5?

It's 1 winline on some machines.........But Road to riches I remember being 5 when I played 25p £70.
On some DONDs like Break the Bank it's one line, but you have 27 way entry on the phones/boxes etc. So it's all ok
PS Bowie....can't help but say "TIC TAC TOE ACTIVE!":twitcy: Yeah ok, that's only once in a while...

This is a site for EMULATION purposes of older machines. Not playing strategies.
If you are more interested in playing modern machines,
visit Jackpottyforums
(DOND is around now on this site..... How long was this sig out of date...!)

I actually feel 50p play gives the best value on a £70 JP for a casual player.
I don't know why, but if i do play, i prefer to play a £70er on 50p than a £35er on 50p.
I think, much to my surprise, that the change to 25p/50p/£1 - £70 has actually worked.

I still think the £70 was not a great move.
This year they should have kept the stake at 50p but just put the jackpot to £50.
This way the same ppl who played for the £35 for there 50p would get a little bonus and maybe the same customers would feel there getting given something for once instead of the trade trying to rape them of £1 coins per spin.
Just my opinion. It really annoyes me to see the normal customer pushed away from these machines.

the newer DOND'S tend to have a 8 way winline system, you've got your classic 5 plus up/down lines.

Yeah sorry, I think I got mixed up with DoND where you can get 3 phones in view when I was thinking of 27 lines!!!! But you get my point? Winning with 1 winline is nigh on impossible!
Also, in Southend, in one of the arcades, they have a lot of their £5 jackpot machines on 20p a go. Surely that's a con? You'd think you would win more often, but that's not the case. Once you've had more than 25 goes, you need jacpot to get your losses back straight away!
I wish they would put the jackpot up to £10. As they are moving £35 up to £70, they should up the lower payout machine jackpots.
