Yep seen it all before been there got the T-shirt and the pictures too. Was without running water for two weeks almost had to be a mass evac the largest post war. But fortunately the wall held.

Have to say with all the red warnings on the map yesterday on the metoffice site..they got this one absolutley spot on.
Yesterday it rained here for about 36 hours non-stop heavy rain as well..at times like this im just glad we live in a hilly area.
Shame for all those people in Cumbria though..hope things get back to normal real soon.

Well not heard anybody talking about this at all untill i turned the news on yesterday.A whole months worth of rain in 24/36 hours now that must be a freak event.

A shit-load more rain on the way for today and tommorow by the looks of it as well.

Weird isnt it ?
only about 20 miles up from me everyweres flooded but the last time I remember it rain here was when it was spitting on thursday morning and a bit of a shower last nite .... part from that everyweres dry.
Feel sorry for those people in the lakes though as its not the first time in the past 5 years it has happend.

Well we had 3 months rain in just 15 hours in 2007 was mm's from disaster just a few more and the power station that supplys gloucestershire power would have been flooded. They had all the pumps possible to drain the water. The gov was getting ready to evacuate us all. Today it's been raining all day and heavy too. Got a bit of flooding going on in cheltenham and gloucester. Gl to all the peeps that have it bad i know what your going through.

very little rain for me, well a heavy downpour for about 20 mins earlier thats it, just been spittin on off all day
