Hey guys, i have a Raise the Roof fruit machine by Barcrest and have recently encountered a problem with it, first of all the coin wouldnt go into the hopper as i put it through the slot where you normally put coins, and it was just passing straight through to where you collect the cash, i opened the fruit machine up and fiddled about with the coin slot and all the parts around that, closed it back down, and it says on the little LED screen- ' error 17-83,,, tamper', now this error just wont go away and i was wondering how i can get it to go away, please help me with the error and if you could the coin slot error,
Thanks alot,

Maybe install a new coin slot. Maybe that might help.

Have you tryed letting the alarm run its course?

Most tamper alarms run for about 15 secs via noise then another 15 secs via the led display, this is to stop fraud.

As for the coins going to the cashboxes this could be two issues:
1: have you told your awp how much float it has, sounds like its routing to the cashbox as it thinks the hoppers full.

2: routing plug missing.

I would turn your awp on, disconect your speakers to stop the annoying alarm, wait, wait some more, then dump the hopper twice, this will set your float level to zero. then test.
