Check the connection to the speaker (should be abouve the payout try) in side the machine.

I was gonna say that..but didnt wanna sound silly as i dont know enough about real machines.

The wire may have came away from the solder on the speaker.

Also is it possible the volume could have been turned right down via the refil key ?
Mmmmmm...Sandy ive 'ad her ye know. :)

Could both be possible or the sound chip is missing or the boards knackerd or the guy who sits in the machine making noises is asleep :p (not being horrible todd btw lol).

I've checked the wire to the speaker and it appears to be ok.

One thing that concerns me is that I cannot get into the test option to see if there is an option to adjust the volume. The test switch does not seem to work.

The machine does not pay out either suggesting there is a problem with the MPU board. It is a Scorpion 2. Ideally I need to take it to someone who can check the machine over and make the necessary repairs.

I am looking for someone in the Staffordshire/West Midlands area.

Its not paying out ? You mean no coins no noise or errors ?
