Right, thinking of getting rid of that bar x (still not working 8-( ) and buying me a lobal jackpots that rock & roll
and its running on the spawn of epoch, which is eclipse.
now my question, is it really as bad as people make out?
the club by me has 2 eclipse based machines (both global) and they tell me they have never had any problems, well they had one. someone had tipped a pint in the coin mech as they thought they could get jacky but they ended up getting game overed so thats not hardware based
its £60 which aint much and if anything does go wrong how muich would a main board & the driver board (is it that people says fails?)

The eclipse tech is pretty solid m8,
Tested 1000's of that base and never really had a problem,
The only problem you might get is a dead battery, as they will be a few years old now,
easy to change but at least when they go they don't shit their pants all over the board like other techs - mpu4 etc.
And everything is on one board, so a quick swap out for a quick fix.

I have had 2 eclipse machines for almost a year now - Bucks Bunny and Warped, and haven't had any serious problems.
They can suffer from dead battery, leading to error 4.2 memory reset (especially annoying as the note acceptor then needs re-setting), but I have found that putting them on a timer so that they come on for just 2 hours per day stops this happening.
I used to briefly have a Jackpots that Rock n Roll, and it was definitely Epoch not Eclipse tech. So far as I'm aware, JTRAR was never done on Eclipse. Might be wrong, but do double check before buying. Mine was hopelessly unreliable - mainly PSU issues.

Got the very same machine @ my local arcade, in a very sorry state.
1/2 the lamps do not work at all, poss due to a board fault somewhere, but despite that, plays a very nice game, and pays well, even on £5 10p.
Dean the tec there, is in 1/2 minds to scrap her, but even he admits, cash takings on her are not bad, even considering the bad lamps issue.

To be fair any machine that old would have lots of blown bulbs,
I've workshopped loads of newer stuff than that model and still had to replace 40% of the bulbs,
worst job to do because once you start taking dead bulbs out you'll find the adjacent bulbs that were on just die and you end up replacing nearly 100%
Or it just could be that a certain Welsh vacform company (think planet of the apes) were buying cheap 'inferior' bulbs at the time - but I wont go into that one

I love JTRAR. It's a cool machine, so for 60 squid or just over is a good deal. As for eclipse, an arcade near me had one (billy the quid) for ages and it was working 100 per cent for about 2 years until arcade shut down due to liecencing issues

My mistake re: all JTRAR;s being Epoch then!
If it's Eclipse, and £60, i'd definitely go for it! Good machine to play

Nah, she's deffo suffering with a board / wiring fault, as the tec has already tried to have a stab at the issue, and not getting very far.
Also, you notice, it's actual whole sections, that are out, as opposed to single bulbs, like feature win's, etc.

Bad luck Matty - better luck next time

Just do what they do in Excel Saga, and ask universe for a reset.
