Coldest i've seen this year. -4c. Lowest last year was about 0 or 1c.

Ment to be snow around wednesday-ish but on this Vista gadget thing it usually changes around every half hour or so and snow was forcast Tuesday but changed now. Measured the temperature in the garden and it was about -2.3c and the sky clear as anything (which just as I looked up I caught a shooting star out of the corner of my eye! what are the chances?)

Heres my Vista gadget what does yours say ?

I reckon this winter will be a classic in terms of snowfall and coldness. I can't remember cold like this since when I was a kid in the 80's. Looks like we are headed for at least another two week cold snap with bitterly cold temps and maybe some big snow falls. Probs some minimum temp records will be broken in parts of the UK, certainly a possibility.... So all in all not a bad start to winter if you are a coldy like me.

Brrrrrrrrrrrrr!!!! I'm back...and the only thing colder than my reception is the fecking temperature up here. I kid ye not!!! I've battered at least £200 into the gas meter last month and it's only going to get worse. Temps quite possibly will drop to -16c by Wednesday so I'm keeping my skates on for the time being. Be prepared. You heard it here first.

It's been bitter in gloucester. Was up till about 5am and it was just white all over. It was -5 last night and the docks are all frozen over. I have had my heater on 2 days none stop and my bedroom is still freezing and have no central heating cos the landlord won't sort out the central heating twat! Oh well i guess the electric heater will be costing him a bomb. :-)

When I say up north I mean in England, not Toddland.

The forcast has changed again now from heavy snow to clear and sunny?

That's global warming for you.
Where you came from, is gone.
Where you thought you were going, was never there.
And where you're at right now, aint no good, unless you can get away from it.

Tonight will be interesting. Already at -5.0, clear as a bell and the temperature is dropping like a stone.

On our VW it said -8 this morning and it was about -2.

Was snowing this morning from about half 6ish til about dinner time and ended up getting sent home from school along with about 3 other schools in the area.

Snows still around now and probably will be for a day or two and its about an inch to and inch and half thick. 1.6c and dropping.

Personally I think its pathetic that they have to close schools. When the snow starts to get around a foot deep then I would consider it. Just too soft these days.
