Hello I need some help as I have never booked or looked for flights online, so I'm looking for the cheapest flights possible lol. I'm looking for a return flight to Manila in the Philippines for 3 adults and one child from 12Th July for 6 weeks. I don't mind if its via Holland or China. I have been told that you cant get a direct flight as it's 10,748 kilometers lol. All my casino cash if I have any to the person that finds the lowest one and a £10 donation to fruit emu if we book that one.

If you could please post the links to the sites and give details of the price I would appreciate it. Thanks

Well considering Im on incapasity bennefit and I will be saving every penny I have to go on a holiday with my girlfriend and her family who hasent seen there family in over 15 years due to the cost of going all the way over there. Yeah £10 is £10 more than some of the other folks that ask for help on here will offer. I just thought I would ask as I thought people may want to help or have an idea of what might be the best sites to look on. But with that kind of attitude I think I will just try and find one myself. Thanks anyways.

i dont have an attitude its just i get pissed off when people say they will only donate if they get something back in return.
a donation is a donation not a trade.

i help people on here for free all the time and i'm happy to do so but when a donation is dangled in front like a carrot on a string that just gets my back up.

its just a bug bear of mine so no hard feelings dude.

It was more of a thank you if i managed to get any info on cheap flights. I wasn't even going to offer a donation but thought that if i got help it would be nice to say thanks and a donation would be my way of saying thank you.

just an update, its all going pete tong

The school won't let the lad go to the Philippines 2 weeks before the summer holidays. We filled in a request to take a child on holiday during term time form but it was turned down. My girlfriends work wont let her have the dates she booked so we have to travel 2 weeks before her mum and brother go so we will be there for 2 weeks on our own. But that's not as much as a problem as the lad not being able to have time off from school. His attendance is 100% he has not had any sick days off since going to secondary school 2 years ago but yet they still said no. we can appeal but have to give a good reason why he should have time off from school. I was thinking of saying they could give him two weeks worth of work to do, but cant think of anything else to try and let him have the two weeks off. Could anybody with any experience of this with there kids please advise me on what we can do. If he cant get the time off then the trip may have to be canceled.

1st of all reappeal, your more likely to get it offas they know you are serious

from a legal point your allowed 14 days off for a holiday w/o questioning, go see the Citizens advice/ make an appointment with the school board

a lot of hasstle but it should get accepted in the end

if all else fails

just say hes sick when the time comes

Good luck with getting your travel sorted.

BTW skyscanner.net is showing £2,219.80 but the longer you leave it, the more it will go up.

You could also try One2One flights on +08004049258

I did check out the 14 days off bit but that changed 3 years ago i think it was. You can be find £100 for taking kids on holiday without the schools consent. They don't have to give you any time off it's up to the school.

Parents may request up to 10 days holiday in term time for their child. However, the Head Teacher will only be able to authorise such leave where there are exceptional circumstances that justify it. Lower costs or easier availability will not, of themselves, be a reason to authorise. Parents/carers should always give as much notice as possible of a holiday request, but must give at least six weeks' notice, using the appropriate form which can be obtained from the school.

Appeal in writing and remember the following;

When deciding whether to allow term time leave, the Headteacher will give consideration to:

* why the holiday has been requested;
* how long the absence is for;
* what impact it may have on your child’s education;
* any important test or event your child may miss;
* your child’s attendance record; and
* any previous requests that have been made for holidays.

Hope you can sort it out.
