We have just had this in are local arcade for about 2 to 3 weeks now.
I really cant believe how much money ya can put in this machine,i was speaking to someone the other day and they worked out that it can take 20pound in one and a half minutes which is really bad but if it goes on a streak ya will know about it.
has anyone seen this machine and had a massive streak on it.
the most biggest streak ive heard about is 500pounds.
It has a double video screen and 5 games ya can play on it.

What ever it is, it sounds scary, if it was in an amusements arcade?
Thats 800 quid and hour play through! I hope its on a high percentage.

hi,

i am a fan of the 'Hot Spot' game which is real mahine made by
Novomatic austrian company, and i wonder if this can be emulated (or
it si already). this game is very often meet in the casinos, bars, etc
across europe.

i already searched a lot of forums, rom's lists, etc and i did not found it

i also tried to find the answer (on forums) of the following questions:

it is possible someone emulate one speciofied machine i want? how
these games are emulated? somebody (programmers, engineers, ...) take
the real machine, get into his memory (ROM, ...) and "write the
program" for the PC"?

how these "roms requests" works? is somebody "ask for a game",
somebody else can emulate it?

the details of the original machine can be seen here
http://www.novomatic.com/en/agi/products/videoslots_cf1_5/sizzling_hot.htm
at the manufacturer site and a screen-shot here
http://gamex.ro/viewimg.php?id=526

i thank you in advance for any response, info or suggestions about my
questions above. any direction will be much apreciated for me to know
who, how and what shouls i ask to find a solution for my issue.

regards.

Wow! You brought back a post from 3 and a half years ago.
As for the game you want, I'm sure you will never see it emulated. Sorry.

Hi

The games you describe have not been emulated and are very unlikely to be emulated in the near future, if at all. The same goes for all Novomatic machines I'm afraid :(

The reasons for this are -

a) The hardware platforms used for these games, namely custom PC and Coolfire (1 and 2) have not been emulated

B) Various legal implications will arise should they be emulated. Novomatic are a big company :)

Your only hope is for someone/you to write a simulator for the game. This in itself is difficult to achieve without knowing the statistics behind the game to make it feel realistic.

:) Still, there are loads of games on here for you to enjoy instead :)
Watch out! There's a SIG thief about...

Yep like Steve said, to be honest the roms used to be got via manufacturers bulltetin boards etc. and also by people with the actual machines using rom readers. You would not be able to do this with PC based architecture, so unless you get an unshielded version (without needing a dongle) that runs on standard pc architecture (like Cluedo Quizmachine) you have no chance. By the time they will be done nobody will be interested I would imagine..

I hated this in the wild - it could suck £100 in a matter of 20 minutes - although it could also dump £100 quicker than that. Boring games though, very limited gameplay on them, basically just multiwinline games up to a maximum of the jackpot easy to simulate - but to get to play similar to real thing would be a real pain in the ass.
