Hiya,

Bought a second hand machine today, and has a bit of a sticky hold and cancel button. Any immediate solutions to fix this?
I've tried taking the buttons off, but to no avail.

Cheers
Toby

Disconnect the loom by locating the clasp and pulling away from the button rear.

Behind the button is a mechanism that you 'pinch' to get out (White in the image)....

Pinch the pins together (but mind the spring don't shoot out)

Warm soapy water and replace...

Cheers! Did it with some WD40 in the end. Worked a treat.

Don't know why, but I had some trouble getting the white clasps to release the button... so I didn't.

The see through covers can also be prized off for cleaning around the edges, be careful though the can crack.

The problem is on a few of the other buttons is that they dont necesarily stick but they feel slightly dampened, and don't have that same 'click' feel as the other buttons. Does this mean I need to take the button to bits?

As I said before, it seems impossible to get the white part out of the button housing.

It could be the micro switches are going on them certain buttons proberbly someones been giving em a good crack and thats why they don't seem to click or sound same as the others.

To remove some switches you simply turn them slightly and they drop out,

I'd just pop off all the top lenses, remove button decals and take the complete button assembly's out and stick em in a pillow case a wack em in the washing machine!

Believe me it works and it's quick when you got 30 machines to do!!
