if the drum inside the turns ok by hand and theres no coin jam it may be the motor on the hopper has died.
have you tried putting your machine into test mode and tried dumping the hopper? its worth trying. or try turning the drum the other way by hand.

it could be an mpu error and not clearing the fault on boot up, have you ram cleared the mpu by shorting out both sides of the battery on the mpu with the power off??, try that.
i've got hoppers and scorp 4 if needed.

I had a problem with this with no coin jams on an MPU5, turns out the 34v fuse had gone. In other words check all the LEDs are lit on the board.9 or 10 pin serial yellow most common replace hopper

hi.
is it a compact hopper?
have you stripped it so u just have motor ect.
definatley no coin jammed?
all pins ok and looms plugged in?
no break on loom to MPU?
-----------------------------------
will the machine set up with door open?
can you payout in test mode?
is machine fitted with 10p hopper? (even if inactive)
