Hello, I'm new here. Been playing fruit machines on and off for many years now and just discovered this site by chance.
I've recently started playing Crazy Fruits, for some reason I always avoided it before. Great machine. It doesn't have the habit of stealing all your money in one go like I'm used to. Are there any other machines that play similar to this one?
Cheers,
MrGreedy

No that's 9.X isn't it. That's unsupported here. Do you have a version for v2, v3, JPeMu or BFMu? Or can I get 9.X (10.1) somewhere else?well heres the crazy fruits green tommy c did - http://www.fruit-emu...s&showfile=2832
Crazy Fruits (5p / £5) is one of my all time faves.

Yeah, sorry, I should have said which version. I meant the 10p / £5 arcade one. I've tried tommy's green layout. Seems spot on, nice one tommy
Do all Scorp4 machines play in roughly the same way, or is it more complicated than that?

Some do some don't there are alot of machines that are clones of others so they do play nearly the same, the green crazy fruits i did is the qps version theres also a red version made by bellfruit which does play slightly different. E.g if you get 3 in a row it doesnt board you and yoy can bank nudges on the bellfruit version but you can't on the qps version, also if you get squashed on the bellfruit version you can lose but on the qps one you get away with it everytime hope this helps.Yeah, sorry, I should have said which version. Depends on the manufacturer, programmer, designer, machine type and/or any customer specific requirements.
All in all, personally I think that different techs do have a certain play style. But its not an exact science.
Scorpion 1,2,4 seem to be very streak based machines, moreso the lo-techs than the AWP's, but thats how they come accross.
MPU4 was very much a punters tech, easy wins, flatter profiles, streaks further apart.
IMPACT was a players tech, lots of emphasis on skill, no guarantee's with it at all, just because it's offered the JP once, doesnt mean it'll offer it again soon if you push for super JP and lose. Very random machines (the hold chances were true random iirc), could take so much money very quickly, but could give loads quickly too, and it isnt always the same game. Some of th ebest games in the world exist on this tech imho.
M1A/B, possibly the laziest coding of the lot with these, someone has explained it before but there aqre two M1 styles.
Style 1 (Older - Eastenders, Cluedo): Approx £5 drift in either direction is allowed, machine is as flat as flat can be, push it and you get a JP easilly, take the £1.20's and £1.60's and you'll pretty much end up with the same cash whatever. Practically impossible to make a LARGE profit, very good for casual players looking to make a pound or two.
style 2 (Newer - Super Pots, Queen Vic, Its A Knockout): Blocks everywhere, wont give a JP until its good and ready and blocks consistantly at £4 (10JP) or £2 (5JP), occasional £6 win offered if very full. £2 repeaters are the key to the easy money, waiting for the JP streak is as dangerous as can be. Would be classed as players machines, but really evil ones.
That is pretty much how I see the major brands, there will of course be exceptions to the rule, and its not an exact science as I said.
the individual coder will put his "spin" on the game he is asked to code, and even two cloned machines are unlikely to use identical code (ignoring the obvious).
The games will often change with each rechip too. Plus there are many many revisions of games sometimes and each one will alter the gameply slightly.
But to answer your question, as a general rule of thumb each company/tech has its own play style, but its more complicated than that and there are reasons for it. There is also the occasional oddball that'll make you think you are playing a different game.
Also the smaller companies like BWB, Vivid, Empire, Global you will tend to find they have less convaluted code or wont take notice of certain situations. For example, if you nudge in a reel win and feature entry at the same time, only the reel win is normally recognised, and if you gamble and lose the feature entry is often ignored. Whereas games from the bigger, more established companies tend to account for possibilities such as that one.

Thanks guitar, that's a great answer, plenty to digest. I'm amazed at how many different machines there are. That's a hell of a lot of coding, building and testing going on. Suppose it keeps the punters interested.
I've tried some of the £25 bell fruits, but I think I prefer the smaller jackpots to be honest.
