I spent the best part of 40 mins to an hour on the phone to talk talk last night messing about with settings for mt internet and they assured me it was a problem with the site and not them, now if other people are having problems to then it would seem it is them and not the site.So the question is would it be worth upgrading to a faster package would it make any difference?,or am i jst pissing in the wind with this broadband supplier. What i don't get is that it's perfect in the morning untill around 5 or 6pm then the dredded server not found appears untill the next day ,me thinks i'll get back onto em and tell em it's just people using talk talk.

From what we can see it is just people using Talk Talk. Upgrading your package is not going to help in the slightest.
The reason to me is quite obvious based on your tracert result. If it says 'host unresolvable' or similar then that basically means that it can't find fruit-emu.com on your ISPs DNS server to convert your request to an IP address and therefore route you to the site. This can only be down to either a faulty DNS server at Talk Talk or one that hasn't updated correctly when the site was moved.
One way of temporarily fixing this is to edit the hosts file on your PC and put the IP address of the site in there so your PC always knows where on the internet the site is. I would google for how to do this as it is slightly different on different versions of Windows. Also don't forget you have done this otherwise if the site moves again your PC will always try the old site IP address.
A useful website to go to for seeing if there is a global website problem or if it is just you is this one http://downforeveryoneorjustme.com/

What I would suggest for now for those who are using a Carphone Warehouse ISP (Talk Talk, AOL, OneTel, Tiscali, etc), is to use an alternative DNS service, like OpenDNS, or Google's.
http://code.google.c...eed/public-dns/ (Google)
https://store.opendns.com/get/basic (OpenDNS)
On routers, you need to look for something like is shown in the attached pic, and change the primary and secondry DNS IP's.
Similar trick is used on the local host machine too, if you use a USB modem.
If you are still getting any problems, Google how to perform a Tracecert, and post the results here.

Just switched over to the Google DNS service (I have used OpenDNS in times past, but find it slow), and attach the results here.
Some info here, how to perform a traceroute: http://en.wikipedia....wiki/Traceroute

I was having issues accessing the site this morning; in fact I was also experiencing issues accessing my site which is on the same server. I did't think of tracerouting it though (and couldn't get on here to see the suggestion at the time...) and I'm on Virgin cable bb...
All seems fine now though

I'm having intermittent site not found errors around the 3-5pm GMT times. I'm with Be* broadband/02 network. Google DNS and OpenDNS as secondary. Will keep an eye...
